The best of the films, in order (And I like or love them all):
The Empire Strikes Back
Revenge Of The Sith
A New Hope/Return Of The Jedi (tie)
Attack Of The Clones
The Phantom Menace (DVD version is the better one.)

Yes, extremely bored. I could care less for Hoth or anything else that really goes on in the beginning. Once Luke gets to Dagobah the movie gets really good for me.
I've always found ESB to be a little bit overrated. I know and acknowledge that of all the SW films, it is the most mature and story driven one, but I think it lacks the fun some of the others have.
The second half of the film though, perfect atmosphere, direction and everything. It's fantastic, like I said, just could never get into the first part all that much.
As a whole, nothing about ROTS really bores me, other than a bit of Utapau. ANH is just sooo fricken slow, but a good movie overall.
ROTJ....like I said, if anyone says not all was good with the PT, I always say, watch ROTJ. Not all was perfect with the OT either.

Now heres my problem with ROTS. Lucas tried to cram everything into waaaaaay too short a time frame. I could have done without the Wookies TOTALLY and Anakins seduction should have taken a hell of alot longer than it did. That was silly.
That being said I did like the movie and I put ROTS 2nd in line behind ESB for my list of favorite SW movies.
Palpatine started to work on gaining Anakin's trust right from their first meeting - at the end of TPM - and we saw it clearly going on in AOTC until the events of ROTS.
Three movies spanning thirteen years. I'd say Paplatine played a very patient & subtle game, winning over Anakin from the Jedi. Long enough.

Yes, completely agreed. A lot of it does feel rushed, Anakin's turn included. Anakin's seduction was a bit anti-climatic. I would have found it more believable and compelling if his turn was a result of the Jedi undermining him, rather than it being about having some nightmares, which was the main catalyst for it.
Yeah, Anakin shows some frustration with the Jedi about not being a Master, but still, he ultimately turns to the dark side to save Padme, and it's way too quick.
I don't think it failed as much as it was anti-climatic is what I'm saying.
ROTS was a "fun" movie. Sometimes I like movies that are more "fun" than "mature" which is what ESB is. Empire has a better story than ROTS, but as a whole I enjoy ROTS more for it's visual storytelling, action and pacing. I don't think it's perfect by any means, I know it has flaws, but at the end of the day, I don't let the way "I think" Anakin should have turned ruin my opinion of it. Bottom line is, it's Lucas' way, and the creator said "He turns to save his wife." I accepted it and moved on. lol
