Wolverine Never Took A Nuke

This is what we get for not factchecking. Wolverine never took a nuke. He took a massive naplam with sonic grenades designed to take out Venom.

πŸ™„

I KNEW there was something funny about the so-called feat.

Yep. I've heard the same thing. Mentioned it in a thread or two, but no one replied so I gave up.

Shit... i feel silly...

napalm... hmm...

Still a fairly impressive feat if it was a really large amount in a small space. Napalm burns like a motherf*cker. But a nuke it ain't.

Wolverine/ Havoc miniseries from the eighties I think you'll find he took the equivalent.

Another factor to consider about "taking a nuke" is, How powerful was the nuke? The smallest battlefield nukes are about 10 tons TNT (.01 kT), like the MOAB conventional bomb. Not a walk in the park, but hardly a megaton, or even the equivalent of the Hiroshima bomb, or even one kiloton. And as I mentioned in a previous thread, distance is a big factor, thanks to the inverse-square-law effect. At ten feet away (as opposed to one foot away), you get only 1/100 the power of the blast, and even That's if you're surrounding the bomb, to absorb all its energy, otherwise at least half that energy is radiating away from you.

"Taking a nuke" sounds impressive, but it can be misleading.

of course, i just wondered about how many pounds was used... a hell of alot was used in vietnam, with varying success... logan would have had to be smack in the middle of it for it to do major damage...

What's napalm made of?

Gas and Styrofoam?

Or gas and soap. Basically, stuff that thickens the gas without making it less flammable.

Nuke, napalm, whatever. He was reduced to skeleton, yet his pants stayed on. That is a feat in itself. πŸ˜›
Denim. The most indestructable substance of Marvel Earth.

We used to throw the shit on innocent people didn't we?

you can make a pretty good home made napalm substitute from petrol, washing powder and magnesium powder it becomes a jelly you can paint on - not as funny as glycerol, nitric and sulphuric acid - which of course is nitro glycerine - make sure you let it activate in a fridge πŸ˜‚ otherwise boom.

Less dangerous iodine and ammonia makes a movement sensitive explosive paste ffor practical jokes - damn funny stuff πŸ™‚

they ca't get hold of strong enough nitric acid, ammonia or magnesium, if they can they have access to more dangerous stuff - I could tell them how to make some ❌ I won't πŸ˜‚

Oh this is napalm then?

Its from the Venom Run storyline. Wolverine got hit by a "nuke" and people are debating whether it was actually a nuke.........

Yes, he was fighting a villan in a nuclear reactor that was in meltdown. His flesh was slowly getting disintegrated but his healing factor kept him going through it.

So Wolverine did get hit by a nuke. That sure doesn't look like napalm Draco. πŸ˜‰

but he still had a pair of trousers on afterwards and he wasnt even that damaged by the looks of him........
