no I think the explosions that superman fired him into slowed him, and he only ha da some tears in his clothes other than that he didn't show much pain
Lift Metropolis? Was this from that Lori Lemaris Confidential story?
I would post a few scans, but my damn scanner is still acting up. A few things that stood out that may not have been posted were
1) Superman resisting the mind reading device and using it against his captor in the "Third Kryptonian" story.
2) Beating a Chtulhu-looking Arion that was supposed to be bigger, stronger, faster and overall tougher in the Superman Annual.
3) Using a quick super speed strike against Mantis in the latest Confidential story and then taking a couple of Omega Beams pretty well.
4) Using super speed to assist Batman company and then effectively handling one of the Four Horsemen, using super speed punches again, until he's cheap shotted from the back. He's also weakened from an earlier bite.
The battle with Arion. His whirlpool has the full weight of the Atlantic Ocean behind it, it smashes Arion's city, then he uses one defense spell given to him by the Phantom Stranger to resist one of Arion's attacks. He also shows how he is holding back against two mutated New Gods. When Arion transforms into a Cthulhu - like creature he claims he is faster and stronger than him, but Superman wins anyway (and steals his artifacts so quickly that Arion didn't even notice). Then he fixes the damage caused by the battle:
For the people who claimed that Aizen could hypnotize him, here it explains how Max Lord took years to control him, and it was a very complicated procedure, beyond simple telepathy, that MM couldn't even reverse. Also it depended on psychological weaknesses that he doesn't have anymore:
Connor Kent claims that Superman can "split the earth in half with a sneeze". Pretty obviously hyperbole (only Silver Age Supes could do that) but still, you get the idea:
Resists Darkseid's Omega Beams. Darkseid did seem to be just toying with him though, and he was getting injured until the Infinity Man saved him, but the Infinity Man did comment on how Darkseid was threatening to "tear asunder the world", so it's a decent durability feat:
One of my all time favorite issues is when Big Blue takes on the "Elite", that "Authority" rip off and just works them. It's one of the greatest Superman wins in regards to feats/powers and to his legacy I've ever read!
