It's not the same kind of lasers. Superman's heat vision is capable of killing Hulk *as was Gladiator's* but Hulk would reach Supes before it could kill him. When did Hulk come down from orbit? Once he reaches outer space he can't come down; zero gravity means he cannot propel himself back to Earth. Anyway, Superman is capable of taking down Hulk, but for the tenth time, Hulk can beat current Superman as easily as current Superman can beat him, which means it's not going to be easy for either one.

They both "could" survive a nuke. I agree it could go either way, but I think it's on Supes to decide. Is he good enough to finesse a victory while keeping the Hulk from raging to his best? That's the question I figure would decide this fight.

Well Miestro couldnt survive a direct blast from a Gama bomb and he is way stronger than the Hulk so i doubt Hulk could.

"Well Miestro couldnt survive a direct blast from a Gama bomb and he is way stronger than the Hulk so i doubt Hulk could."

Maestro would wear a bathing suit if a Gamma Bomb went off near him. He'd survive it.

"Once he reaches outer space he can't come down; zero gravity means he cannot propel himself back to Earth."

He has already jumped into Space and somehow made it back. Physics don't necessarily apply in comics.

Yeah but that non-propulsion thing is BS because flight requires momentum so if you're gonna say Hulk couldn't propel back then say Superman can't fly.

Please don't bring physics into Comics. This comment wasn't aimed at anyone.

Well, in Superman's defense, as far as I remember, Supes' flight was in a sense telekinetic, so him using it out of orbit is more believable.

Man, defending Superman, now I got a bad taste in my mouth.no expression

When Superman uses his brains, and fights Hulk from a distance (with the exception of an uppercut once in a while) and using his speed, I really don't see why he can't win.

When Superman thinks he candle the Hulk mano a mano, fist fight wise, he goes down.

From a distance though, I don't see what he could do to harm Hulk, lasers and ice breath aren't much when you consider Hulk has endured them both before.

Speed he rarely uses but I dunno what that would do.

Simple : throw mountains at him, the Tower of Eiffel as far as I'm concerned, freeze him, fry him, fly to him to give him a beating so fast Hulk can't even fight back, return to a safe place, again fry him and so on and on.

Even the Hulk will go down after taking such a punishment.

If he wants, he can be so fast Hulk can never lay a finger on him. It's hard to fight somebody you can't touch.

I'm not voting for Superman, mind you, but he has a reasonable chance of beating Hulk.

I think mountains would be harder to deal with but Hulk would be more than capable of dodging them. Ice-Man froze Hulk solid once and Hulk broke out of it, the frying thing would more than likely be left to his healing. The speed thing I agree with but it's gonna be speed used vs beating able to be dealt out during that window. In the milliseconds he'll have, I doubt he'll be able to land that many blows and it takes more than a shitload to even hurt the Hulk badly.

Superman does have a reasonable chance on the basis that he's Superman though.

It's not really opinion anymore. It's pretty much a fact. Old Superman is stronger, current Superman is weaker.

Well, everyone is pretty well versed on what Hulk's powers are, so here's a page with some specific numbers for Superman's power. Link

Okay. Yes, hulk was able to hold up a mountain, but this was only because he got a MASSIVe adrenaline rush from the fear of seeing a mountain falling towards him. Does anyone honestly think he'd see SUPERMAN and be even remotely terrified?

I'll be nice and say Savage Hulk starts out at 200 tons. Well, Superman is in the neighborhood of 100 THOUSAND tons starting out. Hulk can withstand 4000+ degrees of heat? Well, Superman's heatvision does nearly triple that right off the bat. And, since it's energy, it travels at the speed of light. Hulk has no choice but to "stand around" for the split second it takes for those beams to start cutting into him. Despite what many people think, heatvision isn't visible, artists draw it for art's sake for the same reason they draw bubbly light whenever Professor X or Jean Grey uses a psychic power. So Hulk isn't going to see Supes eyes glowing and be warned.

You people do not give Superman's super speed the credit it deserves. It doesn't just mean he runs fast, it means the when he's using this power he thinks and reacts faster than anyone but the Flash!! In the time it would take Hulk to throw a punch, miss, and pull his arm back, Superman could dart inside his reach, land twenty kidney shots, and be out of arm's reach again. It doesn't matter if Hulk gets up to mountain-lifting levels if his opponent is too fast to hit! Look at Spider-Man, he wins against stronger opponents for the same reason: he reacts too damn fast!

Sorry everyone, but if the writers were being true to both characters, Hulk is going down.

Regardless of but considering everything you just said, Superman would win a fight against the Hulk purely because of his name and you know it.

I believe that if Superman's speed was cited and shown to be more of a deciding factor in his comics, then I would acknowledge it as a table turner. He doesn't though, where was his speed when Doomsday killed him? He obviously wasn't fast enough to avoid a beating that cost him his life. It's like saying Hulk has infinite strength but doesn't use it. Then why would we assume he will use it in a specific battle.

Don't get me wrong, Superman whether anyone likes it or not, is one of the greatest superheros ever based on MULTIPLE criteria. Which is why I don't think Hulk would win in anything other than a 100% unbiased fight. I've just never really liked Superman because it seemed far too laboured. Like, his name is what he is. A super man, he can do anything and everything almost. Just the generic superhero in todays world. I prefer superheros who don't have a power for every situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he heard a woman crying from cutting her finger and flew other there to materialise some tissue out of his ass.
