Where in the Bible did God denounce polygamy? Do you have a verse?
As for that second paragraph, WTF? What did you just say?
As I was taught at Catholic school, the story of Jesus and the stoning of the adulteress was about judgement. People don't have the right to judge each other, only God can. Therefore stoning is wrong. Yet the Old Testament condones it.
If the Old Testament got it right what reason did Jesus have for changing it?
And no, I'm not God incarnate. That's my point. Neither were the men who wrote the Bible. It is very possible that they got things wrong.
Hmm, prior to Jesus' birth the world was in a state of irredeemable sin which had to be appeased through sacrifices and very very strict living- Israel HAD to be kept as pure as possible so that conditions could be met for the delivery of the Messiah- Jesus. After that had been fulfilled the playing field changed.
The people who wrote the changes didn't claim to institute them, they claimed Jesus did. He reformed the law...I think at this point I should point out that things can change and its the Church's authority to carry out that change.
In the bible it was stated that Noah's son Haim took advantage of him sexually while he was in a drunken stupor, (yes Noah was a lush) and God cursed the ground that Noah's son walked on for raping his father; Haim was a homosexual.
If God cursed Haim who was a homosexual then, would he change now?
because God never said it. try to look on your bible and try to search about when God said we can fall in love with the same sex. you'll found nothing.
-edit : if God allowed us to fall in love with the same sex with us, then what's His purpose for created a man and woman? it's enough for God to create a man or woman alone.

well the catholic church says it was because pride and rebellion..
but if we look at the old testament or torah he never fell or was mentioned to have been anything
The various other scriptures which claim to have God's word, for one. Or you can do what ancient man did before there was a written document claiming to be the culmination of God's laws and just make stuff up along the way.
E.G., if you don't like having your stuff stolen, then don't steal in return. If you wouldn't want someone to murder you, then don't murder someone else. If you wouldn't want someone beating you down or denying you rights because of something like skin color, place of birth or sexual orientation, then don't do that to someone else. In the general sense, this is a decent way about going through life.
Edit: I think there's some found scripture which supposedly has Jesus stating that God is in all of us and we not need rely on places of worship or clergy to know God. I like this idea.
Being a dick, starting a massive civil war, trying to replace God (which is like your toe saying it should run the body), being a dick and supposedly there was a little bit of irrational pride in the mix.
