i havent seen Dream Girls yet... and its not really a movie I would go see...

but I mean it was her first movie... and will we ever see her again?

and if we do .. will she only do the same sort of movies over and over again ---- i mean there were more deserving nominees who have already been in several films and done amazing work

She shouldn't have won, plain and simple. From all accounts the lady from Babel should have won.

i want to see Babel

Eddie Murphy would have been more deserving than Alan Arkin even though I loved Little Miss...

oscars rarely give the oscar to a comedic actor - turned dramatic actor... or so Ive noticed

Murphy's career has been soooooo weird. Hot comic, Dead career, cartoon donkey, now this....

That's true. Although, Robin Williams got one.

Maybe I'm getting the movie confused then. She looked like a hispanic lady.
