Roda ends in the top 10 every year, and frequently ends in the top 5 as well... We were one of the only teams that didn't lose to Ajax in the 1994/1995 season, and we beat AC Milan at San Siro in 2001/2002, where Roda made it to the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup, which was later won by Feyenoord. Wooptie-****ing-doo.
[edit] Music video
The majority of the video features Richard Ashcroft walking due north, on the east side of Hoxton Street, Hoxton, North London. Ashcroft walks in a straight line towards the camera whilst lip-syncing the song and doesn't break his stride or change direction, repeatedly bumping into passers-by, narrowly avoiding being hit by one car, and jumping on top of another, seemingly oblivious to the world around him. The starting point, 94 Hoxton Street, is the South East corner of the intersection between Hoxton Street and Falkirk Street and the walk continues along Hoxton Street with few continuity errors. See this Google Maps link for an approximation of the start point. This video was shot during the course of two days due to a man, not knowing it was a video, attacking Ashcroft after he bumped into him on the first day; extras were therefore used during the second day of filming. The end of the video leads into the beginning of the video for "The Drugs Don't Work". The video is either, depending on one's point of view, a tribute to or parody of "Unfinished Sympathy" by Massive Attack.
The video was parodied in the 1998 FIFA World Cup song "Vindaloo" by British Comedy band Fat Les. The video takes the same theme of the singer walking down a road towards the camera, with comedian Paul Kaye playing the role of Richard Ashcroft.
Arsenal, Man Utd., Chelsea and Liverpool(they're actually shit, but they manage to weasel out the results) that is. The rest are just as shit. The only competition that has great teams as a whole is Spain. I mean their number 14 and 8 made it to the UEFA Cup semi-finals last year.
i dont really like spanish football that much, yeah its all nice and fancy, but i like dirty kinda foootball, ya know what i mean, thats why i sometimes think the championship is better than the premiership, and the league is always so tight, a team can jump from the relegation zone and with a win got up like 5 places.
there are some good dirty teams in the premiership though, everton, portsmouth , bolton etc.
Hmm, sounds like a league for Gregoor van Dijk. Former Roda captain who now plays for FC Utrecht. Good defensive qualities, he's a bit of a mug when it comes to technique though, has a powerful shot, and recently broke the Eredivisie record for most red cards in a carreer.
Oh yeah, also, on the 1994/95 Ajax thing, Ajax won the Champion's League and WC for Clubs that year, so there's good football for ya.
