Speculation has renewed that The Smiths may be on the verge of reforming. According to a report in The Sun yesterday (October 24), the four original members are close to signing a deal that would see them performing at the Coachella festival in California next year. It is suggested that Morrissey's new manager - former MCA records boss Irving Azoff - has been instrumental in the proposed deal. However, sources close to the band have said that a reunion is highly unlikely.

Glasvegas have announced the release plans for their Christmas Album. The record, called 'A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)', will be released as a download on December 1. The album will also be available physically in a special two-disc limited edition of their self-titled debut album on the same day
