At the age of 14, she dropped out of her acting classes and dreamed of becoming a funeral director.[13] During this period, she wore black, dyed her hair purple and went out moshing with her live-in boyfriend.[11] Two years later, after the relationship had ended, she rented an apartment above a garage a few blocks from her mother's home.[10] She returned to theatre studies and graduated from high school, though in recent times she has referred to this period with the observation, "I am still at heart—and always will be—just a punk kid with tattoos".[14]

Three Radiohead videos will premiere on Myspace Music in the coming weeks, with the clip for ‘Weird Fishes’ appearing online today (November 21).
The videos are winners of the Aniboom animated video competition and were made to accompany three ‘In Rainbows’ tracks including ‘15 Step’ and ‘Videotape’ which are to be premiered on November 25 and November 28 respectively.
The competition winners are Tobias Stretch from the US for ‘Weird Fishes’, the German team of Wolfgang Jaiser and Claus Winter for ‘Videotape’, and Kota Totori from Japan for ‘15 Step’.
The band themselves chose each winner, and even selected a fourth video for ‘Reckoner’ as the official video for the song. The clip was created by Clement Picon of France.
Singer Thom Yorke says he was “totally blown away” by the standard of the submissions.
A grand prize of $10,000 was on offer for the winner, but the quality was such that the band decided to choose four winners, giving each one the prize money, which was used to create the videos.

Beck Hansen has been one of the most prolific, creative and critically lauded artists of the last fifteen years.
The son of a Canadian musician and an artist, Beck grew up in LA, dropping out of school in the eighties to travel and busk. Influenced by the cultural diversity of his home city, he began to make his own recordings which led to him being signed to a small label.
In 1993 his collaboration with hip hop producer Carl Stephenson produced the slacker anthem 'Loser'. The song sparked a major label bidding war, but Beck found it difficult to escape the 'one-hit-wonder' tag.
Hooking up with the Dust Brothers to produce the album 'Odelay' put paid to that, with a string of hit singles including 'Devil's Haircut' and 'New Pollution'. The album also received two Grammy awards.
Following this success (and some legal wrangling with the label) Beck recorded a song a day for his next album 'Mutations', collaborated with his granddad on an art exhibition, contributed to numerous film soundtracks and guested on albums by Air and Emmylou Harris.
Throughout his career Beck has delivered energetic and imaginative live shows, even being joined on stage in 2006 by marionettes.
Beck has continued to innovate and experiment. His most recent album 'Modern Guilt' saw him work with Gnarls Barkley producer Danger Mouse on a record described by Rolling Stone as "among Beck's strongest work".
