I'm 'working' at the moment, but it's a mandatory 6-week placement I do as part of my course. I think when I have money as an incentive I actually get my shit together and stop being such a shit bastard.
The work is really nondescript. I'm at a small independent film production company, and the work ranges from spreadsheet crap to more creative marketing things. But most of our ideas get shot down pretty quickly, and instead of constructive criticism they just say "why not do this instead" and basically just say how they want it done. So the creative side of it is essentially pointless.
I think I preferred it at Working Title, where all I did was get sandwiches and coffee for people and deliver important packages to Soho-based post-production companies

Bit harsh. I mean yeah, it's true, but still. Considering half of the forum does little but talk about which fictional character could fictionally beat up another fictional character.
