Sounds very very different to how it is here tbh, self-harm is still very much a taboo, for example if you tell people you're gay most people won't care any more, but people, even people you think you know well, will judge the **** out of you for self-harm. It's because nobody understands the reasons behind it because the whole "emo" thing made self-harm a synonym for "attention seeker". Pretty shit, really.
It was different in Kendal, but the total opposite, in a super unhealthy way. It was basically a ****ing fad at one point, which pissed me off – glamourising the results of interminable depression is not cool.
I guess I don't have many friends any more though so who knows, maybe I will meet people who defy my expectations, all I know is that any hope of leading a normal life is pretty much non-existent
to make it a fad and call it attention seeking is ****ing disgraceful
I hope you do meet people who amaze you for all the right reasons scribble, you sound like the kind of guy who deserves a lot more of the good stuff then what he is actually getting
