Haha, I write what I know, which is humiliating things. I dunno, I find the self deprecating humor identifiable and realistic. I sometimes wonder what a clean act by me would be like.... but I'm not really one for clean, family friendly jokes. I'll experiment for sure, but I've always liked the darker side of things. It sounds like you can identify with your style of film

I can definitely relate, I find most of my favourite stand-up is really soul-baring stuff. I guess it's a lot different in film and theatre because you play or write a character, whereas with stand-up and spoken word you're speaking directly to the audience, but either way the darker styles of comedy are usually sending some kind a personal message or outlook as well as aiming to amuse. Makes it richer overall and as you say a lot more relatable. I wish you luck for your future gigs
