They sound like assholes tbh. They are not willing to give you a 3 day a week job? And when you say "work have refused this" that really means your brother has refused this, right?

They said the reason was that they can't cover the 2 days as its causing detrimental effects on the company.. But they refuse my 3 day week suggested by my doctor so.. They can't cover 2 days but are happy to cover 5... yeah that makes total sense

I think his wife refused it. I don't think he even gets involved anymore. He just hides away and let's her **** everything up.

I wouldn't say we're that libertarian. In fact the Netherlands has had a weird juxtaposition of socialism and libertarianism for years, though in recent years politics here have become all about austerity and immigrants, like in most of Europe I guess.
