I had a mate called Rem when I was a kid, he always had snot slavered all over his face and spoke like a total rem. That's what I picture when I say rem. Also, I don't know anyone else who says rem.

People act like it's some bizarre Southern word that only those raised in the fiery pits of Camden know.

When did you visit? It's mostly gentrified now, especially the centre of it. I live in a pretty nice part of it now, but the place I lived in until I was 15 was pretty shitty. Although, even there is pretty gentrified now (it was right by the High Street). There are still plenty of actual ghettos though. Well, ghettos by English standards, they're not exactly Harlem or anything.

I was going to use the word 'gentrified' but I thought you'd throw a Pitchfork-proportion tantrum.

I don't remember exactly but I'm going to say the last time I was in London was either 2009, 2010 or 2011. My hotel was in some Camden neighborhood.
