It gets cold overall here - mind you, I'm a mere half hour from the southern most part of Canada and I live in what is called the Banana Belt, which typically is warmer. Where I was BORN however, 8 hours north of here, would and still does get snow in increments of 5-6 feet at a time.

Yeah, we rarely get snow like that. Maybe once a year, in the colder parts of the country. Quite lucky in that respect. I bloody hate snow, other than the first day it appears. After the whole "Ooh, pretty" appeal is gone, it's just annoying.
