They changed the story. Arwen didn't come from Frodo. That was Glorfindel. And in the books Arwen weeps alot.

It's not about the details, it's about the quality of the storytelling compared to books. And when dealing with a 1,000+ page book condensed into 10 hours of film, the movies passed with flying colors in my book.
