I really liked it the first time I saw it (on DVD, not at the cinema)
No so much the second time but it is still okay.
What I liked was the way it was adapted to the screen. And I know it is not 100% loyal to it`s source bit it works with the times and with the audiences (Let`s admit this: most people will never read Moore`s comic because they are lazy or think comic it`s for kids, etc. So this is the closest to "it" that they can get) and it does well in portraing the current fears in a rather grandilocuent way (as the comic did with the 80`s fears).
What I didn`t like is that they made the Chancellor a quite obvius Hitler clone (moustache and all people! Let`s get obvious!) and parts of the ending with all of London playing "V" dress-up. To operatic for a dramatic film.
Westminster palace blowing up was nicely done tough...
In the end, a nice film (specially for those who know the comic) but it`s not Shakespeare.
Enough an awnser for you, my fair lady?

In my classes of philosophy of law we make the students to do a small paper on the legal phylosophy of both nazism and stalinism (2 evil dictators... 2 moustaches... coincidence? I think NOT!!!) ok? and the other week one of my pupils came to me and started to tell me how much he liked doing these paper, etc, etc.
Then he begun to talk to me about "V" (film) and how much it "opened his eyes" or something like that to the whole fascism question and autoritarism, etc. Then he asked me what I think of the film.
I told him the same thing I told you and them told him to go and read the comic (I never hid the fact that I am an avid Comic Book reader to my class). So now we have one more person who has read it. This movie has it`s uses as you canm see.
Now we need to convince 6 Billion more people and we are done!

(Oh... I coundn`t access this page - and a few others - for 2 days (!). I think the problem - whatever it was - has, if the planets are aligned and the gods and God agrees, resolved itself. If I`am lucky....)
F*ck Windows....

This is my 1st time to EVER do soemthing like this, so please give me tips and comments on it.
A guy in a band who i used to hang out with asked if i'd make his band a flyer for this club they're playing at. I said i'd do my best and not to expect much. I've been working on it since morning and i've finally finished a rough draft of it.
But if you wanted a more out there theme, try making the background with one of your pictures of the dark sky and woods, it would actually be more of a poster, but it still would look nice.
