I am dead serious. I'm not even really a big Tim Burton fan. I like some of his works but overall I think he is a bit too weird for my liking. But I never liked The Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory and all those other bullshit early movies they try to stuff down kids throat as wonderment and delight on film. Even as a child I highly resented those films and I didn't want to see Charlie and The Chocolate Factory either. My friend rented it and forced me to watch it after I told her I never liked shit like that when I was a kid and she told me it was very different and she thought I would like it.
Plus I like Michael Jackson and I kind of figured Johnny Depp's take on Willy Wonka to be making fun of him.
I watched and I was thrilled

hmmm... I can stand about 10 seconds of Charlie and the money factory before I puke my ****ing guts out. If you can stand it...all the more power to you...you're much much stronger than me. I'd sooner be castrated than see that movie again.
I agree, Tim Burton is a moron when it comes to batman movies. Keaton was so miscast in that movie, he should be shot for casting Michael Keaton and it was boring as hell. Batman Begins was a 100 times better! lol

I liked Batman Forever much better than the first two films because Val Kilmer made a much better Bruce Wayne than Keaton did.He at least looked the part and had the right physical build unlike keaton which is very important for the character of BatmanIf you dont even come close to looking the part you bring no credibility to the role and keaton was no exception as it was already mentioned on this thread sometime back.Keatons batman was also crap because he is a short dude that an average criminal would not be afriad of-Him being the short dude he is.Its also not crap what people have said that Kilmer was better because he at least looked the part.keaton I would say gave a better performance as Batman than Kilmer, but Kilmer gave a much better performance as Bruce Wayne.Kilmer wooden? Keaton was wooden as Bruce wayne. He acted nothing like the Bruce wayne from the comics.Kilmer did.Kilmer could also take his shirt off because he had the right physical build.Keaton was so out of shape that he couldnt do that>he knew the audience would laugh at him if he did.Bale though is easily the best Bruce Wayne AND Batman.
By the way,the people who said that Bale not saving Ras Al Goul in Batman Begins that thats murder as well.thats plain garbage and absurd.Theres a world of difference between not saving someone and cowardly murdering someone like Batman did in Burtons pathetic Version. That wasnt murder at all on Batmans part.

Keaton couldnt act shit as bruce wayne as people have tried to tell you yet you blindly worship HIS performance in that role. I can see you cant be reasoned with on that though so its just best for me to walk away for now.
Well done Miroku.you got good tatse.

Keaton gave a well received critical performance as Batman. Most reviews I've seen of Forever also agree that Kilmer sucked. And he had no on screen chemistry with Nicole Kidman's character despite her throwing herself at him

Look if you think that DKR is a bad point of refernce because it was made in the late 80s, you obvously think that BB is a pile of **** because that was based on Batman Year One made even later in the 80s.
Dont you see how your just a hypocrite? You just keep coming with eeach and every excuse to rubbish Burton even to the extent you will contradict yourself....wow.

Batman forever was crap it was getting a bit camp and moving away from the darker look which burtons batman films was all about and not to mention the comics
Hugh Jackman did'nt look the part for wolverine but yet he nailed that role ****ing good
And **** some people are taking movies too seriously mainly Mr Parker and a few others if your nit picking certains things just because they did stupid things get a ****en life.

I love Adam West (he's a funny guy) but he was horrible as Batman.

Then I think to myself, wouldn't it be MARVELOUS if I turned out to be a homosexual?"
No, I defend Keaton because I honestly thought he did a good job... I grew up on Burton Batman and I'm gonna keep thinking it did a good job...
Honestly, why is it always a "Keaton sucks" and a "Burton is a moron" instead of just saying "I didn't like Keaton" or "I didn't think Burton did all the best, IMO" Burton haters just jump at the chance to destroy it, never just letting it be and moving on... And they call everyone who happens to like it and defend it when attacked are called "not true Batman fans" or "Keaton Apologists" when they don't even KNOW the person enough to make such a accusation...
Now, I'm not saying you have to LIKE it, but don't go around burying it, I mean, there are people that like that rendition, and you have to respect that...
Honestly, we have Nolan for "comic accuracy", if you don't like Burton's vision, just don't watch it and leave it be...
YOU DON'T HAVE TO ATTACK IT!!!! Alright, I'm done...
now as all of you can tell i dont hang around this thread often, only recently. But i grew up with Burton's batman too, people love what they grow up with, they never get tired of mario, etc. well sometimes you gotta let your childhood go and move along. Burtin is a moron when it comes to Batman, sure Mars Attack was cool and Nightmare Before Christmas is a milestone in emo kid fashion, but damnnit he ruined Willy Wonka, he ruined the Apes, annnnnd batman, his reign of terror must be stopped, HE ALMOST RUINED SUPERMAN with nicholas cage and a black/grey capeless costume for god sakes, can he not spare us a bit of humanity, some mercy at all...but alright, ill respect that you like Burton's Batman, but i will not stop from trying to prove that he is a moron and that Keaton sucked (in my opinion, there)
I just saw Beetlejuice for the first time a few weeks ago
The maturity level of some of the Nolan Only people here is kind of disappointing overall.
Why continue to attack Batman 1989 and say negative things about the people who made it? Whether you liked it's interpretation or not it is still a well made movie and still holds a dear place in people heart. It's not a trash movie like Batman and Robin.
