Now I'm not sure, but... wasn't there a flashback shown recently of Wolverine stabbing Phoenixclops right in the face, penetrating the brain, with no effect?

Why snapping Summers' neck would even work?

I have a feeling though that he might come back. I mean Phoenix's can't die that easily.

It'd be pretty crappy if they gave Cyclops a new persona only for him to be killed off within a few issues of having the said persona.

Right now, Doom is the most powerful thing in MU. It was an amazing showing for Cyclops to even last that long against him, let alone damage him the way he did in the beginning. Can't wait to see the Maestro and Doom fight. Maestro seems confident that he can take him.

Disintegration would be fine. Snapping neck of a cosmic entity that doesn't care about any biological processes doesn't make sense.
