Vic have you got some kind of final list you could post/have already posted? Because I'd like to stickie it for a little while, it'd be interesting for new/less frequent music forum visitors and whatnot.

Wow, that's a ridiculously respectable list. Plus I own and like every single album on there.

Here's hoping not too much has changed.

I'm not actually sure are these the best albums in the world, but they are the ones that have had most influence on my taste of music. Hope it's okay for you guys.

10. The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails

This is the album that taught me to like industrial metal. So, practically the one that helped me to find bands like Skinny Puppy, Ministry and Laibach.

9. Aivan kuin kaikki muutkin by Apulanta.

The greatest Finnish album ever. Back to the years when Apulanta played rock and punk with attitude rather than just pleasing teenagers. Worth listening, especially for those who understand Finnish.

8. Welcome to my nightmare by Alice Cooper.

Welcome to my nightmare light up the spark, Alice has been in my TOP-5 artists for years now, and probably will be for many years more. All that because of this album, which lead me to the world of shock rock and albums like Dragontown (though DT was released after I started listening Alice).

7. Evil Empire by Rage Against the Machine.

Though not being a pure rap group, RATM opened my heart for some branches of rap and thus, helped me to expand my taste of music. Innovative lyrics and music has balls.

6. Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division.

Wow, each and every song in this album rock. It also gave an incentive to listen New Order, which on its behalf helped me to explore disco rock and such.

5. Bleach by Nirvana.

Lead me to the universe of punk.

4. Reunion by Black Sabbath.

I have never, ever appreciated live albums like after hearing this one. I had listened live albums for quite some time, but this really launched the boom.

3. Good news for people who love bad news by Modest Mouse.

While not being my favourite band at all, this had a huge influence on my attitudes towards indie music, which now is one of my many favourite genres.

2. Blizzard of Ozz by Ozzy Osbourne.

And this one was the first album ever to make me a fan of a band or an artist. Need I say more?

1. Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

RHCP was my first favourite band and this was the album which made me to start listening music in the first place. 'Nuff said.

EDIT: Someone had Nightwish? Go Finland!

Too bad they kicked out the singer. Hopefully their new one will be something like Tarja. I don't like Nightwish that much, but it still is pretty cool and I understand why people adore it.
