but thats a poor leap in logic. i've had casual sex but still cared about who i was with, since it was also a friendship thing. also i certainly cared about pleasing them...but that could be considered self gratification since its also an ego booster. at the same time though, no deep personal attachment. so you cant just jump right from that to hookers imho.
when you have friends as guests in your home do you not extend courtesy and make sure that they are comfortable? if your buddy is sitting over there with an empty beer bottle do you not get him another? doesnt mean you want to marry him does it? courtesy and care for other people's comfort and pleasure is what a gentleman/lady strives to do, so why would it be unthinkable for people engaging in casual sex to not extend the same concern for eachother?

Right, but I was using a hooker as an example. Its the only situation i could think of where there would be NO feeling. When you have sex with a friend, they're just that, a friend, one whom you care for. It may not be a deep, meaningful love whereby you want to marry them, but you do care. And that COULD, very easily, lead to attachment and jealousy. So thats the only reason i threw in a hooker, to give that sense of NO feelings. But I see how you interpreted as, being a leap of logic, so i hope i clarified that point, but that was my bad in the way it was worded.
I'll go along with the "they would PREFER that the didn't have sex". That sounds the most logical.
but remember, there is a certain risk in all friendship, even between master an padawan. but it does seem that a certain degree of kinship is allowed and perhaps encouraged. however it could certainly backfire, as was the case with obiwan following the passionate presumption of his master rather than simply trusting the word of the council. it seems that although he bitched at quigon, he had more trust in him as a result of their kinship.
