She was 18 to the best of my knowledge.
But more importantly [SPOILER - highlight to read]: it's not about him wanting to bang her, since he does stop when he finds out she's a virgin, it's about him being so unhappy in this life he was forced to live, and she's just the personification of freedom from this drudgery for him. Like all the shit you're forced to do daily because other people think you should. We're all in ****ing cages sometimes.
