Um. No. I WOULD call a non human a hero. What is Underdog if not a Super Hero? Silver Surfer is a Super Hero and he's from Zenn-La. Adam Warlock is a machine and he is a Super Hero.

A hero tends to be in human terms. But when you add the word super it becomes something fictional. Meaning it doesn't need to be human at all. Otherwise the majority of Comic Books would be a bit pointless
