I bet yours hasn't cost as much (total) as my brother's phone.

He got the LG Chocolate ($150+$400 deposit for the phone itself, $60 a month), within a month it was broken in half because it's a cheap piece of shit. So he paid $50 for a replacement insurance phone. A couple months later, this phone stopped working. $50 more for yet another Chocolate. Then again he has to do this more because this new phone broke, $50. They realized their phones are shit and the next time his phone breaks he gets it for free. He "forgets" to send the broken phone back to Verizon, they charge him $160. His latest phone broke, but he's holding on to it. Also during all of this he would go over his minutes and have late fees, one month he had charges of $250 month.

I would have to pay a deposit if I got a regular cell, which is why I've stuck with pre pays.
