Zidane will always be king for me, no one can match his suave touch, almost like when Valderrama never lost the ball when he had it or never made a bad pass.
I agree, it's lunacy to say he'll alwayd be remembered for that headbutt, I don't think he will at all, I think he'll be remebered as a world class superstar who had so much talent, influence and skill
He was the best in the world at what he did for years, and is a legend in the making (not quite old enough yet) same can be said about Luis Figo
When they were younger and playing together at Real, those were some of my favourite moments in football!!!
Look at Maradona and all the mental things he did off the field. When you see footage of him playing that's all you think about - the football. Zidane is a God and the perfect rolemodel for all kids out there wanting to be a footballer. And as for Materazzi? Zidane should have picked up the trophy while walking off and ran on and clobbered him over the head with it.

Figo has never been in the Zidane class. He's a great player for his time, but he won't resonate like Zidane.
Zizou was the greatest player since Maradona.

"World champions Italy have made the most notable improvement in the new Fifa world rankings.
The Azzurri's 5-3 penalty victory over France in the World Cup final last Sunday has seen the Italians move up 11 places to second, only behind the five-times world champions, Brazil.
The Brazilians keep their top spot despite being knocked out in the quarter finals to finalists France, who move up four places to fourth.
Argentina also move up the rankings to third place, having previously sat in ninth. England make up the top five teams, having made a considerable improvement, moving up five places to fifth.
Besides minimal changes to the top 10 rankings, host nation Germany were the other big movers, up 10 places to ninth, after their performances in front of their home fans guided them to third place in this year's tournament.
Other improvements in rankings came for Switzerland (13th having moved up 22 places), Ukraine (15th, up 30) and Ghana (25th, up 23).
The new rankings have seen numerous improvements for African football, with teams such as Cameroon and Nigeria finding themselves just outside of the top 10, despite not qualifying for this year's World Cup.
The changes have also seen Mexico, USA, Iran, Japan and South Korea all slip down the table after disappointing tournaments.
A new method of calculation for the rankings has been used this year, which has introduced changes in point allocation, the consideration of the opposition's strength, the importance of match and regional strength.
The next Fifa world rankings will be announced on 16 August this year."
Finally!!! England get recognised for just how good they are, up five places and STILL ahead of Germany!!! Woo-hoo!!!
For the sake of all the wasted fish that will be thrown, I hip-hop-hope you are being sarcastic. If not, then you are not not a fool.

I agree with this on some levels, like ofcourse USA, Mexico and such teams are gonna be higher, they get much easier teams to beat and ultimately get more points as a result, but for example, the England/Portugal debate, they both get the same calibre of opponents in terms of quality and such, so there can be no mistake with England being higher, the points are added up and tallied, it's as simple as that
