I have pages worth of evidence of your threats, contradictions and childish behaviour, as well as witnesses. Your report won't go far. Even in all our debates I don't even think Deano has ever reported me, nor I him, so you won't get much success.

Anyway, predictions on the semi-finals:

Italy 1-0 Germany
France 3-1 Portugal

I also get the feeling this is France's year, the way Zidane is playing, and I also think they have peaked just at the right time

Alot of people are saying Germany, and I agree that with the form they're in currently, they're gonna be difficult to knockout, but the fact remains, no matter how much team spirit they have, no matter about the fan support, no matter how well they have gelled together, I just feel they haven't got the quality (individual wise) but let me just go on record as saying this: if they do win the World Cup, then i'll be the first to apologise for doubting them

My prediction for Germany vs Italy will be an Italian win... score will be decided by a 1 goal difference

As much as Germany are better than Italy, we've seen that the unexpected can happen. I just don't believe Italy deserve anything in this World Cup. It'd be like Greece winning the Euro Cup.

Hidetoshi Nakata has retired from all football for anyone that doesn't know

Also, Roberto Carlos and Juninho Pernambucano have retired from the international stage too

I know Greece aren't exactly world beaters, but surely the fact that they won the tournament shown they had the right approach to it and pulled off an amazing feat, or are you not one of those people who enjoys a good giant killing story??

I mean, they conceaded very little goals, and played to their strengths

They are European Champions and they are far from the best team in Europe. If Italy win it will honestly seem like the World Cup was for nothing.

Ghana winning it would be a giant killing story, because they're also a great team.

Well, whatever Greece are, they're banned from playing any kind of football right now.....so there chances of winning anymore Euros is in jeopardy

Though I must say it was a fluke, you could have the same teams, same environment, same matches, same conditions a hundred times over, and they wouldn't win it again, they wouldn't even get past the group stage!!

I also never asked: as a Brazil fan, are you gonna miss Juninho and Carlos??

True that Greece was a fluke, but Italy has been consistent as in qualifying for Euro Cup and World Cups unlike Greece. Im also not saying Italy deserved to stay due to the fake penalty but I believe Italy will win. Well im out for today, gonna have a kick about, later.

It wasn't a fluke in the truest sense of the word, but it was obviously circumstances that won't likely happen again. They were good enough to win against the teams they played on those days, that year. I honestly doubt it will happen again but I don't believe it was luck, they just didn't deserve to win.

I think Juninho never got as much play as he deserves and I think Carlos is quite overrated.

oke peeps..here's the deal.
i'm always in favour of a good rough debate, but fact of the matter is you two are taking it a little too far. (ac and mattatomic). only one of you is right, namely the one that comes with the undeniable facts and works on them. that's how it works with debates. so stop bashing eachother because it will get you nowhere....or worse..a warning. if you're annoyed by oneanother then ingnore eachothers posts..simple as that.
because you're clogging the thread with it.
play nice

if it's any consolation i would've let you fight it to the death ...that's my personal favourite. but command says no bashing.....so..

guess you'd have to concede Italy are a pretty good team, sure they had easiest last 16 and quater finals... but toughest group and toughest semi final.

They struggled against the USA and every other team they faced, bar a bad Ukraine side and a so-so game against Ghana.
