The oppression of women has existed in both Christianity and Islam for centuries. This is NOT opinion, this is FACT.
Today, Christianity has toned down its oppression of women over all, however, oppression of women STILL Exists in Christianity:
1) Women get paid less than Men, many if not most, of the men in charge of distribution of executive payment happen to be Christian Protestant men.
2) Women still cannot become Priests in many Christian denominations, although some are allowing women that position.
3) The Christian Rightwing is still making the aim to outlaw Abortion, and take away a woman's right to choose.
4) The same Christian Conservative right wing is also aiming to do away with birth control, so that straight women can only have sex, without risk of unwanted pregnancy, if they are married.
5) Nuns are NOT allowed to have boyfreinds, husbands, or sex lives, but it is still acceptable for a Priest to have a wife in many Christian demoninations.
6) The Bible, the social basis of Christianity, clearly states that God wants women to submit to the will of men, which encourages this division.
As for Islam....you mean to tell me that:
1) The obligation of women having to cover up entirely
2) Having to obey thier husband's every command
3) Having all thier family's property become property of the husband
4) Having thier faces burnt if they displease thier husbands
Is not oppression of women ? I didn't even touch up on the details of the rampant and common violence against women that occurs in Muslim-Governed Nations
