Favorite Movie(s) Directed by Clint Eastwood?
Personally, I am a sucker for:
'Mystic River ' - Excellent acting and story telling. I never guessed the ending.
'The Outlaw Josey Wales ' - Just Awesome. "Are we gonna draw pistols, or Whistle Dixie?'
'Million Dollar Baby ' - Again, Excellent.
'Unforgiven ' - Richard Harris <3
Let's Hear it.

Only ever seen Million Dollar Baby and Mystic River . I thought they were both great, though MDB wasn't particularly original or inventive and was a story I'd seen many times in many other films, but it's a story that's told well. Mystic River is just a great film.

Solo- He didn't direct Fistful of Dollars, that was Leone.
As for films I liked that he directed:
Play Misty For Me is up there for me, his debut film he directed.
Outlaw Josey Wales
High Plains Drifter
The Gauntlet
Unforgiven

They just don't entertain me. Same characters, same settings, same situations. That, and they're devoid of anything visually stimulating. All just..drab.

It's a tie between Million Dollar Baby and Mystic River.....but if I had to choose, I'd have to go with Mystic River. Sean Penn completely redeemed himself in that film in my eyes.

My favorite movie directed by Eastwood has been one of his most overlooked: A Perfect World. Kevin Costner gives one of the quietest yet most profound performances. A small film that remains very powerful in its message about choices and the effects they have. A perfect noir and tragic film.
