The question of the century!
Why is it so hard for Superman fans to grasp that there are certain characters out there that he by no way, shape, or form could defeat. Heck, why do they freak when it's speculated that The Sentry could be more powerful?
(for those wondering, this is an offshoot of Long Pig's statement in the Sentry vs Superman thread)
So, lemme list off some people that Superman couldn't, or shouldn't, defeat (post crisis):
Thanos
Galactus
King Thor
Beta Ray
Tyrant
Phoenix Force
Uatu
and many more.
So, once again, the questions are as such:
1. Why is it hard for Superman fans to grasp that there are people Superman just can't come close to beating?
2. Why is it hard for Superman fans to grasp that characters with similar powersets or looks (Superme Power's Hyperion, Gladiator, or Sentry) could possibly beat him, or even decimate him?
On another note, this is not an opportunity to bash Superman. This is just a discussion.
