My favourite QB is Favre, huge arm, can throw on the run better than anyone and is always so composed and calm.

Fave RB is a tough one, htere are so many good ones at the mo. I'll go with Curtis Martin, but I really like the bus too.

WR, I reckon Marvin Harrison. No fuss, runs routes, catches ball, no dumbass dances.

LB, I dunno about this really, but I'm gonna say Ray Lewis, during the late game yesterday my local broadcaster showed the Raven's fieldgoal return from (i think) last season, Lewis threw a huuuuuge block. He hit the guy so far into the ground there was almost no need to dig a grave!

Americans add throwing, pads, alter the length of the game etc, i.e. change it completely yet still call it football.

Then they call the original soccer, and expect the rest of the world to adopt this bastard name. Pish.

From hence forth American football shall be known as "soccer." by me.

That was a great Steelers game, Jags almost won, i dont no how u can say Roethlisberger isnt RoY anymore. Oh and the one guy almost made a 60 yd FG. That would've been crazy if he made it.

Roethlisberger is not doubt having a great season but he does have the defense, amazing wide recievers and Bettis as his weapons. Most rookie qb's dont have nothing to work with.
Juluis Jones of the Cowboys looks very promising consider he's gotten over 400 yards rushing in three games. If he didnt get injured, he could easily contend with Roethlisbergre.

Yes, he has the defense but on Sunday night he didn't have Plaxico Burress so his WR lineup looked like this:

#1 Hines Ward (a stud)
#2 Antwaan Randle El (a great #3 WR but an average #2 WR)
#3 Lee Mays (not very good, but did have a few catches in the game)
#4 Chris Doering (was waived and only re-signed because they were so thin at WR)

and that was it at WR.

and Roethlisberger still threw for 2 TD's, no INT's, and only had 2 incompletions (not including the spike at the end of the game)

julius jones couldnt contend with rothlisburger unless the cowboys had a winning record and made the playoffs.. the teams performance comes into play still and a rookie QB beating 2 undefeated teams and taking his team to the playoffs pretty that pretty much secures rookie of the year

Umm didn't Pitt have bascially the same team as last year except for Roethlisburger and Staley (who has barely played). I would give alot of credit to Roethlisbeger, but probably more to Cowher.

Im not saying Roethlisberger doesnt deserve the Off ROY. Im saying that Jones could contend if wasnt injured. Im speculating very much so and probably wrong. J
Jones has 450 yards and 5 TD's in three games (he did play a 4th, but only had 5 carries). He has personally won 2 of them basically by himself. If he plays on average the same way he has in the past 4 games, he would have 1800 yards rushing. with 20 td's or so. Thats pretty good considering the team Dallas has.
Roethlisbergre though is playing great and deserves the award. But he still has 2 amazing receivers, a great 3rd WR, the best defense in the league and Bettis.

ILB - Kendrell Bell
ILB - James Farrior
ROLB - Joey Porter

Steelers 2004 Starting Defense
LE - Aaron Smith
NT - Chris Hoke
RE - Kimo Von Oelhoffen
LOLB - Clark Haggans
ILB - Larry Foote
ILB - James Farrior
ROLB - Joey Porter
CB - Deshea Townsend

There are 7 new starters this year and a new coordinator. Result? An insane improvement in QB pressure, tackling, pursuit, schemes, and heart.

this is an area for nfl discussion not flaming or being an idiot..

i am a steelers fan and you just make fans look stupid and ignorant..

some great games this weekend peyton making the call to take a knee on the goal line shows his respect for the game.. and vick was amazing again in the carolina game..

owens went down but thye have 4 weeks until their first playoff game no matter how healthy he gets he shouldnt play until then its not worth the risk they need to start conserving mcnabb now too..

as far as playoffs go i think its philly vs colts or steelers and maybe just maybe atlanta could sneak in there

well i cant stand philly and i dont like the ravens or patriots so ive liked the steelers by default for a while i also like Seattle, atlanta, and greenbay

funny stat: the (5-9)Arizona Cardinals can still win the NFC West and just think they lost to the 49ers twice in OT!! if that didnt happen they WOULD be in first lol the west is a joke seattle never fails to let me down
