You gotta shake your head at NFL athletes.
Sean Taylor gets arrested for pointing a gun at somebody and also holding out on his contract. What a punk.
Same with T.O, signed a new contract with the Eagles and now, might hold out for a bigger contract this year. I think I said it before, TO is too much.
My fav is Taylor though. When he started playing and during the draft, analysts are like," He's better than Roy Williams."
Williams is one of my fav players. Taylor might be better but Williams is getting married to a Destiny Child while Taylor is pretending to be a thug now. He might of been before he started school but buddy, your making millions, so stop with the gunplay, you moron.
He's a second year player and he's already asking for more money. Man, thats weak. I can understand when your becoming a free agent or that your getting paid really low. For example, making base salary and you become MVP and win the team the Superbowl, I can understand asking for more cash. But on Taylor, he had a good rookie year but he didnt take the team anywere, or win any awards. He doesnt deserve more cash. Pay your dues in the league like anybody else in a job, then get the higher cash.

Good point.
Even if I think Ben Roethlisbergre wont be as big as last year. Sophomore jinx. He still will do good, but not as good. Thats what I think.
As a Steelers fan, I would agree. I honestly don't care if he has an outstanding season - statistically - as long as he keeps developing into the leader the teams needs. That, IMO, is more important.
True True
He will probably just do that.
I dont think the Steelers will have the same season. 15-1 is pretty hard to do again especially with the main RB's getting a year older.
They might need Ben to be better statistically. In then end, wildcare I see.
Athlon Sport Magazine ProFootball Preview rated Ben 18th best player in the league. I think thats a tad high especially with Dwight Freeney and Ed Reed being 19th and 20th. Top 30 probably.
In other news, I just read that Ross Verba is demanding to be released from the Clowns (Browns). How embarrassing for that "organization."
He will be the 20th player who made at least one start for the Browns in 2004 who will have left the team since New Management took over back in February.
True, but new management could make it a better team.
Dallas is a much better team with Parcells because everybody wants to play on that team, and theyre isnt alot of player that are asking for more money, more playing time etc.etc.
ALl the draft picks Parcells had, none have asked for more money.
Okay, Smasandian, since no one seems to post in this thread besides the two of us, let's make a bet at some point on perhaps the division winners, AFC/NFC representatives in the Super Bowl, and maybe some other category.
For odds, how about something like...the loser has to go in a forum they've never been in before (like I've never been in the Matrix or Kill Bill forums) and act like they know what they're talking about or something like that.
NFC North:
Vikings
Lions - offense will click
Packers - getting old and defense not what used to be
Bears
AFC East:
Patriots
Jets
Bills - losmon wont do it
Dolphins
AFC West:
Chargers
Chiefts - improved defense will help
Raiders -
Broncos
AFC South:
Colts
Jaguars
Texans
Titans
AFC North:
Ravens
Steelers
Bengals
Browns - sorry
Wildcard:
Cowboys over Rams
Falcons over Seahawks
Ravens over Jets
Chargers over Steelers
Division
Eagles over Cowboys
Vikings over Falcons
Colts over Chargers
Pats over Ravens
Championship
Eagles over Vikings
Colts over Pats - its the year of the colts
Superbowl
Colts
Rookie:
Off- Mike Williams - Lions
Def- Demarcus Ware - Cowboys - going to the be the sack king
MVP
Off-Manning - (who else)
Def- Freeney - sack king again
Rushing leader
Julius Jones - surpraise pick but improved line and Dan Campbell back, its not far fetched considering he would of won if he wasnt injurded.
(lets go by a point system, 1 point for each correct team and leaders and stuff, and 2 points for correct playoff and 5 for the superbowl winner)
Don't worry - I'm a Steelers fan. Sometimes it may seem confusing because I like to talk (s***, that is) about the Browns alot.
The point system sounds good. How about
1 point each for each team finish
2 points for each playoff prediction
3 points each for correctly identifying the Offensive and Defensive MVPs, Offensive and Defensive Rookies, and Rushing Leader
5 points for Super Bowl Winner
AFC Playoffs:
WC: Patriots over Jets
WC: Chiefs over Bengals
DIV: Steelers over Chiefs
DIV: Colts over Patriots
AFCC: Steelers over Colts (upset at RCA Dome)
NFC Playoffs:
WC: Falcons over Cowboys
WC: Panthers over Seahawks
DIV: Eagles over Panthers
DIV: Vikings over Falcons
NFCC: Eagles over Vikings
Super Bowl XL: Steelers over Eagles
AFC Offensive MVP: Peyton Manning
AFC Defensive MVP: Joey Porter
NFC Offensive MVP: Daunte Culpepper
NFC Defensive MVP: Berntrand (whatever his name is for Arizona)
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Benson, Bears
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Rolle, Cardinals
Rushing Leader: Shaun Alexander (if he ever figures out his contract problems).
You need to pick 2 MVP's from each conference, how about that and I think we're all set except to figure out what the wager's gonna be.

Ohhh, the Steelers. Dicey pick, but it could work out.
Umm okay.
AFC Off MVP: Manning
AFC Def MVP: Freeney
NFC Off MVP: McNabb
NFC def MVP: Roy Williams (it took me forever to think who could win)
I liked wager you said before, about going to a thread that we have no clue about and pretend we know somethign about it. It could cause a diseaster especially if its in GD area, or the little girls area (Harry Potter or someting like that)
Okay, we need to set the wager soon. I generally post in the "General Discussion," "Movie Discussion," and "Movie Stars and Celebrities" forums, so it wouldn't make sense for me to post there.
