It will feel so wrong seeing Dawkins in any other uniform besides Eagles green. I'm pissed he went to the Broncos, and the Eagles D will suffer greatly because nobody gets a team more hyped and ready then Dawkins does. He was the heart of that defense.
And if you try to talk to any Browns fan about their recent "successes," a good many of them will come at you with "Oh yeah? Well who won all those NFL championships in the '50's? We did! I wasn't alive then, but take that!"
In legal news (and local for me since I live in Raleigh, NC), Deidre Lane was released from the North Carolina Correctional Facility after serving a whopping 6-year sentence for shooting former Carolina RB Fred Lane in the face with a shotgun for the insurance money.
What's the deal when you have a jersey with a player's name on the back that is leaving, or wanting to leave? A: Buy a new one or B: **** it, those things are ****ing expensive.
Man Im sad to see Houshmanzadeh go.....I wish it was Johnson leaving and Housh staying, but I hope he continues to have success. Seattle got a hell of a WR. The thing about him is it does not matter who the QB is, he will make plays! Unlike the homerun WR in the vein of CJ...
I doubt anyone in Maryland would even know who Ken Hamlin is. Except you, of course.
Regarding the jersey thing, I was talking about this to a guy last night. I think we came up with the idea to just get a nameless jersey with a random number on it. Say, #22. Then, whoever is wearing #22 for that year, you only have to make the name patch and stitch it in on the back.
On the negative side of it, your "favorite" player is always the guy wearing #22. On the positive, you don't have to throw away your jersey every other year.
