Same here...Raiders had a good chance too...the Defense played hard...Just that Kerry couldnt get any protection, or he made bad throws.

If the line plays like that all season, I cant see Raiders doing anything with those high powered WR's. Its pretty hard to throw deep when you get sacked.
Tatum Bell is the #2 RB in denver, Mike Anderson is #1 so I dont think too much rides on him.
Yea his line sucked, and Brady was given all day. Plus they often only had 1 or 2 WR on the field meaning the Pats could double cover them both why they werent doing more 4 WR sets out there i dont know.
Wow. I couldnt watch the game because its wasnt on TV where I live, but i did the Gameday thing on NFL.com. and a big " " at the game. It was 17-7 Bucaneers at the half. Then we start to come back, we get a field goal, then we get the ball with like 5 minutes left at our own 10. Wee were doing great and making pass after pass and we got it to the Bucs 13 yard lind. Then Culpepper throws an interception. There is like 1:40 left, and you know they are gonna run out the clock, so we use our last two timeouts, and its 3rd and 1. Then they got a friggen 71 yard touchdown. How do you let that happen. You know they are gonna run, and you still let them score. And it was the Bucs! The Bucs! Wow.
But then again, Culpepper had a horrible game, with like 2 INT and 2 Fumbles, and our RB had like a total of 50 yards or something. Thats definatley not gonna happen again. Bring on the Bengals!
Sure the Bucs are underestimated, but not by much. No way they make the playoffs. And people are predicting the Vikings to win their division easily, and some even predicted them to get 12-13 wins.

At the start though, it looked like it was going to be an horrible game, but it turned out to be really intense.
27-7 over the Jets, Curtis Martin held in check, Pennington made look like Patrick Ramsey...ah, all is well in Arrowhead Stadium.
I mean, the Chiefs won easily with Tony Gonzales not having a good game and Priest holmes only scoring one touchdown with 85 yards rushing! It's gotta be our year, right?
very um... interesting day as week 1 tends to be. Farve really screwed me in fantasy points this week to. Whats more amazing dolphins or 49ers winning? id say 49ers actually id say mike holmgren not giving shaun alexander the ball more and instead letting haseelbeck throw INT's all day long.. what a moron. And the vikings.. wow id of liked to see them play the packers today 2 great QB's looking like they belong at a retirement home. 5 INT, and 2 fumbles lost and 0 TD's between them I hope this is a big fluke. Can TB, Miami, or SF hold on and have a decent year? Are the Jets and Rams really this bad? And I think Big Ben shutup everyone who said he was lucky last year.. although how this kid wins with 9/11 passing.. i mean he did have over 200 yards and the titans do blow. I was getting really annoyed with everyone (including announcers) acting like they had never seen this guy... hello he played the last game of the season for the steelers last year, in BUFFALO and he went over 100 yards for them, and buffalo needed to win to make the playoffs and has a good defense, so frankly im not suprised the kid went off again on the awesomely bad D of the titans.. and frankly after he does it again next week they may need to think about leaving Staley on the bench and letting the kid go. ok hmmm what else to rant about... who sucks more in washington? i could barely tell a difference when brunell came in maybe they should each get a half to play? or maybe just let campbell start now seeing as ramsey and brunell are both worse then boller who is prolly worse then eli who is garbage. which brings me to boller.. when will they just let anthony wright start? I think he showed tonight he is the better man and the colts shutting down the run like that made me so much more sure that they will be the Champs this year pretty easily. Um yea I may be done my week 1 rant for the moment. Oh 1 more thing "greise is really good" ok while he isnt the worst QB (note my list above) he is far from really good. 2 TD's and 2 INT with about 200 yards is anything but stellar. Without the D holding the vikes to like 20 rushing yards and without the nice rushing game from his backfield this game would have been different.. but ok im done for real now.
Anthony wright is in no way better!! he was making a hell of alot of mistakes...Boller was taking care of the football at least..for the most part. and also Eli isnt bad. hes learning man lol take it easy on him.
As for the vikings winning 12 or 13? HARDLY....They will be lucky to go 8-8 again. I mean their Defense isn't too great, at least it hasnt been clicking...They Lost MOSS. It is a big deal, you can't just shrug it off like someone will step up...no one Replaces someone that GOOD. Recievers with all them tools are RARE. I can actually see them Going more like...7-9 to be honest...Lets break it down.

They might be able to Beat the Saints..but not if they played like they did today (both teams) Ill give it to the vikes though, im sure losing twice will make em play harder.

Panthers on the road...tough to say...both are inconsistent. Panthers have a better Defense...and a running Game...ill give it to Panthers..but it could go either way to be fair.

Giants on the road...well if Eli keeps the progress up, by this time he should be in a rythym...Giants Get the win at home

that was an interesting opening week, the only thing that i can say for certain is that new england is gonna be the team to beat again, i don't see weiss leaving affecting brady that much, or the offense where it will suffer, also the lions are in 1st place .....yea, i know it won't last forever, but at least it's gonna last for a week
