he may not be able to play at all next year so its iffy, but I do think its a great deal.
and last year he had Heap, Mason, and Clayton. Cant complaign about those guys at all. Vick has put up some better numbers with far worse guys to throw too.
Well, this year, Vick threw for 400 more yards and 4 more TD's than Boller in 6 more games. So, Vick didnt have better numbers this year.
Boller didnt play well this year, but if you think about it, his first game was against the Colts in Indy, and then didnt play until the 9th week or so, so its pretty hard to get good numbers and rythem when your second week is half way in the season. It also doesnt include the two main recievers he had are completly new.
I'm not saying he's amazing or anything, but really, he hasnt really been bad. This year he took a step backward (small step), but he might be pretty good next year.
Huff won't fall past Atlanta. Holmes could land in Philadelphia. I think for Dallas, if you want a safety, Ko Simpson would be a solid pick, but if i'm Dallas, i'm going o-line. I'm one of the few Bills fans who is a big Bledsoe fan. With a quality o-line the guy can pick apart defenses. After Flozell Adams went down, your line sucked last year. Marcus McNeil would be the ideal pick to fill your RT void, or Justice if he falls.
Don't rule out Ferguson falling into our laps...Here's my theory...The almost certain 1-2-3 is Bush, Leinhart, Young. Now, the Jets will likely to take D'Brick at #4. But, if they do decide to go a different direction, Cutler perhaps, he could well be ours. GB are set at OT with Clifton and Tauscher, Oakland already picked Robert Gallery very high and also have Sims, while SF just gave Jonas Jennings a massive contract, and Kwame Harris is a first rounder on the other side. The only team above us likely to go OT are the Jets. We may just get lucky.
As for DeAngelo Williams, i'm going in between stud and decent. He isn't gonna be an elite back, but he is going to be a very productive NFL starter IMO. I think he will lead all rookies in rushing yards...Bush in total yards.
I don't even see how Boller took a step backward. He was hurt the first half of the year, and he was actually pretty good in the second half...I saw him twice against the Packers and Vikings, and he looked great. The only experienced QB worth going after in FA this year is Brees...And he'll be re-signed for sure...
I'm just saying the right decision would be for Baltimore to give him another year.
ok guys Boller played 9 games, you keep refering to the 2 good games he had, which were at home against bad Defense. Tets look at the other SEVEN games he played. Also his game against the colts was in Bmore not Indy.
In those 7 games he had a QB rating of 58, 5TD's 11 INT's
forumcrew, understood. They are just the two games i happened to watch live. I don't mean to defend the guy, right now he has to be considered a major bust until he shows otherwise, i am just saying i think he will and probably should be starting for Baltimore next season. This has got to be his last chance though.
Brooks? Ha! Garbage. He just can't seem to put it all together, and he's had WAY more time than Boller. Gaudy yardage numbers, poor decision-making, guaranteed. TODD FREAKING BOUMAN was considered a better option than Brooks late in the season for New Orleans. I'd pass, and take my chances a fourth-year guy might eventually pan out, rather than accept guaranteed mediocrity.
Mediocrity? Are you kidding? He has amassed at least 20 TD passes, and 3,500 yards in four of his 6 seasons with the Saints. He isn't great, but he sure as hell isn't mediocre.
Either way it doesn't matter, he's probably going to the Packers.

Your wrong about Dallas. They're not going for an tackle in the first round. Reason why? They never taken an o-line player that high in the draft. (I dont think Parcells has either). Knowing Parcells, they will try to get an guy later on, or sign a free agent.
It's not certain that Young will be the third. Young will be a great QB, but like any other scramble QB that relies on his ability to run, it takes time to adjust to the NFL. Also, scouts are worried about his delivery, that it might result in tons of tipped passes. It's almost certian that Bush and Lienart will go 1-2, but its not certian that Young will be 3rd. I think the Titans are resigning or doing something with McNair and if Jeff Fisher doesnt do anythign this year, he will get fired, so he's going to take a guy who can help him win this year, and Young wont help if McNair is still there.
All signs point to Young going to Tennessee at #3, following the rule of, if you don't have an elite QB, or who you consider your future franchise QB on your roster, you don't pass on a top prospect at the position. This would defeinitely apply to them. In fact, Leinhart isn't a lock to be the first QB off the board, thanks to Young's spectacular Rose Bowl.
I didn't say the Cowboys will take a lineman, i said you should.
If Tennessee fire Jeff Fisher, that would be the equivalent of the Packers firing Mike Sherman and hiring Mike McCarthy in terms of idiocy. The guys is a GREAT coach. Tennessee are in full rebuilding mode after their cap hell, youngest team in the NFL.
aaron brooks is mediocracy at BEST. He will not be with the saints and hardly deserves to be in the league. He should be a very low paid back up. Hes a big time bum.
Looks like Chad Pennington might be heading out of NY because they cant redo hsi contract to his liking, so he may be cut in order to not pay his bonus that is soon due. I wonder who will want to pick such a fragile QB.
Nah, signs do not point that the Titans will go with Young. If they pick him up, he probalby wont make a different until the 2nd or third year. If Jeff Fisher does not provide some sort of positive play this year, he'll get canned. Thats the life of an NFL coach. The Titans will need help on the offensive line, and Ferguson will provide that immeditly. Also, what happens if McNair signs on and plays another year? Young wont start, and Volek is pretty capable back up. All Im saying is that its not a lock that Young will be picked up on the 3rd pick.
Lienart on the other hand, is pretty much a lock. Sean Payton has coached many pocket QB's and Lienart is the perfect pocket QB. Brooks wont be playing with the Saints anymore, so whos Payton is going to draft Lienart because thats what he is familiar with.
I don't care what his numbers are, Aaron Brooks makes BAD decisions for his teams game in and game out and game in and game out. Period.
Even if he can throw a tight 50-yard pass every once in a while for a Sportscenter highlight, he is not a QB I would want on my team at all, unless he took a major paycut to be the guy who holds the ball on the tee after it's fallen off twice.
He's unforunate. The guy was pretty good before his arm was ****ed up, and if they can fix it, he has a chance in being good again.
But as of right now, backup at the most. But if he gets his health back, he'll be a good QB.
