[SPOILER - highlight to read]: not really. its been implied since MGPO that Zero was behind it all. and its not like the wisemen could do anything about it. they've been dead for almost a century. I'd guess that the list at the end of MGS2 was ruse by the patriots to protect their identities from everyone else. But they had to protect it like it was real or someone would suspect the authencity of it. still i had to admit i was marginally underwhelmed with the true members of original patriots. The thing is Hideo probably planned this the whole time. Its not like none of it makes sense. It all fits with the continuity of the MGS universe. and it meshes with the characters personalities somewhat.

I read them since i don't have a ps3 and therefore will never be able to play the game. I can't afford one. Any money i've got is gonna go to paying college and my new laptop. I've been hooked onto the story though so i wanted to know what would happen so i saw videos of the spoilers on youtube.

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: I just think it's tragic that a 20 year old history has kind of been hijacked by a minor character introduced 3 years ago lol. I mean you can tell he's been forced to do it because everyone loved to the idea of BB being an actual freedom fighter and being set up the whole time in snake eater, Mainly because most fans only played MGS on the playstation. So had no clue about BB so it was easy for Kojima to change the story as he saw fit.
The whole plot twists with Ocelot and Vamp as well i mean wtf why bother making the point in the past games to show that they could have these powers to then turn around and say 'Nanomachines' and 'Hypnosis & Acting' Arghhh.
It's still the best $40 you'll spend in a long time and one the best games ever made though metal gear online is practically worth the price alone.
Just beat it after two days, and I was highly impressed by it, though I did have some minor problems and questions. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: How did Raiden hold back Liquid's ship? That thing was frickin' ridiculously huge, I mean I get that he's strong and all, but with strength like that he should've been able to dominate vamp without trouble. And then he came back with only his arm broken off, after we just saw him get trampled by the ship, I dunno it's just a bit hard for me to believe. As for my question, could the girls do anything after they lost their army and they have that silent hill like scenario, I didn't let them get close enough to do anything, but can they? Another problem I had was Vamp, that's the second time they've over-hyped him, and he was a pushover, Liquid was more challenging than him and he was easy as well.

I just beat it too, damn ending took ages. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Im not sure how much effect Raiden was actually having on the ship, I think it might of just been intended to look like he was doing something, just showing how far he would go. I was glad to see Big Boss redeemed after the way he was shown in Snake Eater, but it was a big stretch. lol
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: well he stopped it dead in its tracks and but a huge dent in it, so I figured he had a fair amount of effect on it
Oh and did anyone buy the single shot assault rifle in Drebin's shop? I wasn't sure but it looked like a musket, unfortunately I didn't have the points to buy it.
