LoL.
Well I haven't heard the voice of God, but I learned in GameFAQS that as a matter of fact you can hear the voice of God(Hideo Kojima) during a cutscene if you do a specific action. The voice of God is even credited at the end of MGS4.

i played his game for the first time last night after wanting to play it since it came out.
It looks like it can be a fun game to get in to but it just didn't do it or me. I played a bit of COD4 on it as well and it was so..unfun.
I dunno if it's my inate, irrational, and unexplainable dislike for ps3 and it's games or what.
For some reason i just could wait to stop playing and get back to my 360. (I normally don't stop playing a game dead in the middle of progress, i at least wait till i get killed no matter how bad the game is.)Not saying the game or the ps3 sucks, it's just i don't like the system. And that's too bad. I liked he ps2 (till i got an xbox) and i really thought it was gonna be ps3's year (in '08). And i was wrong.
I wish i could explain it but I think I (deeply) hate the ps3. Which is why i don't play it. The mere mention of the system makes me shutter. I dunno what it is. The owners asked if they could plug it up on my tv and i said "na, my 360's there."
I wouldn't have a ps3 even if it was given to me for free. (or i'd trade it in for 360 things.) Maybe i'm the only one that feels that way. Or i just love my 360 that much with anything trying to compare equating to a lost cause.

Got MGS4 last week and only really got in to it tonight. I love being stealthy and head shotting people with silencer on but it is a lot harder to play this one in stealth mode than any other MGS. Cut scenes are long but still entertaining like the other MGS games, the story line really makes this game great.
One thing that has been confusing me though, did Meryl not die in mgs1?

he' wrong. honestly, I never got into mgs anyway. I don't dislike it because I hate ps3. that's dumb. even if this mgs came out for the 360 I wouldn't get it.
and even though most people that I knew that played msg gotp thought the way the game went blew hard with it's long cut scene after long cut scene. they didn't like it.
I don't think the games sucks i'm assuming it doesn't with all the good reviews it's gotten. I think it the ps3's best game. it's probably the game with the best graphics on that system. I just never got into the game.

just read my ps3 hate post and it did seem like I was implying that I didn't like mgs cause I hated the ps3 but like I wrote I just never got into the game, which is what I really meant.

Just got MGS4 recently and have to say I'm slightly disappointed. The cut scenes are murder. There are so many of them and some are really looonnnggg... The actual game play is fun though. I'm currently going through my 2nd time trying to get the bandana and stealth camo.
btw I have a list of codes and passwords for various items. If anyone wants them PM me.
I started to play it the second time trying to get the stealth suit but I gave up half way through act 1. Any one else think it's impossible to complete the game with out getting one alert? There are certain points where I just can't see how you could do it.
I'm already on act 4 with no alerts, but I have to go back to my last save because I got spotted by the Gekko when Otacon is trying to unlock the back door in the Warhead storage building.
I hear you on act 1 though. I had to go back on that one about 10 times before I got through it with no alerts.
I'm addicted to this game. I think it's the funnest one gameplay wise. I don't mind the long cutscenes too much, because they look so good, but there is plenty of boring filler though. And I like the story but I think there's just a little too much to it. I also didn't get goosebumps all over my body at the end like I did for MGS 3's ending. I understand why some people don't like this game. I know my two closest friends would not like it, for example. It just appeals to certain people, I'm glad I'm one of them. I give it 9.6 out of 10.
I still have to play substance but MGS3 is probably my number one ps2 game and second favorite in the series with MGS4 being my Favorite game this generation and possibly ever as far as the single player goes
