wise words, i think indeed dante has "a chance" against the far weaker earth versions, he cannot kill them however and since it is unclear in this match if they have the soul stones in them it is hard to say who would win, baal for one has unlimited (supposedly) bone like tenactles that could swarm him and shred him to bits, Diablo has all sorts of evil power and Mephisto has a lot of lightning and ice magics and some poison
more powerful versions from hell itself of these charaters are a bit unfair since they are the prime evils themselves
either way i doubt dante would win, if he kill one it may likely mean they will possess him and transform him into their true form once again, unless ofcourse they have soulstones in them, then if he actually manages to beat one he will have to carry the little stone around, just dont break it
Dante would definatly need a plot device, which was instremental in defeating them everytime. It seems like thats just how these villains are, plot device required.

well he could "try" to defeat one and then just get possessed, at least that way he wins for a little while, but then its not easy killing a lord of hell if you dont have a soulstone to weaken it, keep the Godlike Diablo and his brothers out of this, the weak eartth versions should make this fight at least a bit fair
