I've talked with Borborad about it in the past when everybody wanted to go against the word of the creator of the ancient sith comics, it makes no difference. If he says they are somehow far below Sidious then it is so.

Oh, there was some time spent debunking a lot of the BS about the Ancient Sith in the past...alot of it was so inconsistent and ridiculous...hell, one essay on Ragnos even said he ruled unchallenged....and put down all rebellions.

However if you are unable to question the credibility, reliability and canonicity of these statements, then LS is right. I however think you can question them.

Game mechanics are designed to try to match continuity to fit the purposes of the game for which they were created. They can serve to provide a scale from which to compare how one character or piece of technology stacks up against another. Because RPGs use dice, there is always the element of random chance involved, which isn't quite applicable to a book.
But stats themselves aren't created randomly; they are based on what is already known. As such, we can always look to them as a basis when writing books. I often look to RPG stats to see for example, what type of Force powers a character may have. Or if we haven't determined the stats of a particular vehicle, we can look to RPG stats for a basis of comparison.
Conversely, I think it would be a determinant if books were artificially limited by game stats. So I would agree that a book is going to overrule a stat if there is a contradiction. - Leland Chee

Considering the fact there is no contradiction, just an addition to Ragnos being the "most powerful of the most powerful", remind me how they don't work? Or is the sourcebook not a canon source now?
Game stats are N-canon, declared so by the database. Sourcebook story info is canon. Game stats are gameplay and thus 100 percent N-canon, declared so right on Leland Chee's Blog

C-canon is "common" or pretty much everything in the Expanded Universe: Star Wars books, comics, games, cartoons, non-theatrical films, and more. Games are a special case as generally only the stories are C-canon while things like stats and gameplay may not be (they also offer non-canonical options to the player, like choosing female gender to a canonically male character). C-canon elements have been known to appear in the movies, thus making them G-canon. (This includes: the name "Coruscant," swoop bikes, Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura, YT-2400 freighters, Salporin, and Action VI Transports.)
I understand that but the fact that this is a versus forum, and Chee SPECIFICALLY states that the RPG stats ARE used for determining how opponent X would fair against opponent Y, we can use those statistics to get a good idea. The stats are only USELESS if they contradict the novels or the movies, which they do not. So by that i'm not saying Ragnos pwns all, but we get a very good idea on how powerful he was. Now all they need to do is write more books about him, or even 1.
