1. You don't know if there is a "spirit"

2. You don't know that ther is a "god"

And you have provided no evidence to support your claims.

if you still understand i can't break it down any lower so i would as you to ask any high person of God

I still think you have a good imagination, and there was no "spirit" in that statement, you are imagining this. My reason for making that statement was to see what kind of person you are. I wanted to see if you were tolerant and mature; I guess you are not.

And that is why God comes off as a bit silly.

True, but really it is. An example I use often - my friends. I know them, I have knowledge of the actions, proof of what they have done. This, essentially allows me to say "I have faith in my friends..." Now, the fact my trust/faith in them is dependant on the fact I know them.

If I picked up some homeless man and got him to do something, or expected something from him with no reason to expect this, yet I said "I have faith in this homeless man" - people would say "IS, you are really to naive for your own good."

Now, the question is - is the faith I have in my friends in fact nonexistent since it is built upon their proof? Or is it in fact made stronger since this is not in fact blind faith and built upon something tangible?

That is trust....not faith.

Faith is not owned by religion.

quote:
faith (fath)
n.
1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.
2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief, trust.
3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one's supporters.
4. often Faith Christianity The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will.
5. The body of dogma of a religion: the Muslim faith.
6. A set of principles or beliefs.

As you can see from this definition what I was talking about comes under 1 and 3. The faith I have in the elite group I call friends is not religious, but it is a faith that has been confirmed by their actions over the years. They have provided proof that supports my faith in them.

Thanks for the back up I highlighted with red. Oh and one more thing:
God made this plan so there would not be proof he wanted us to accpt on faith.

I would have you note that not every single one of those applies to everything - hence the number. And read what you highlighted there--- look closly. Doesn't rest on. Do you realise this is different then, and doesn't in fact mean, "Is incompatible with..." or "Can not work with..."?

And God made his plan so there would not be proof? Oh wait... we have no proof there is such a plan. Dear me.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to a lawyer...

In you're case, I'll be nice and give you the right to a psychologist.

Freedom of religon means you have a right to term yourself any religon that you so choose.

If you think Hitler is god, many people would not allow you to practice your religoni freely (say, wearing a swaztika around your neck)

If your religion says kill all infidels...or be polygamous...you do not have the right to do so against the laws of the nation.
