Thats because he used to be overrated and everybody caught on. Now he is no longer the highlight of his team so its kind of gone the opposite way. Either way, I don't think he is that great although he is overlooked.

I think Melo deserves more MVP consideration. He's pretty much carried them into the playoffs pretty much by himself with all the injuries the Nuggets have had.

He's playing his first game of the season and has 12pts and 6 boards as i type this. Im real pleased about this as an NBA fan, he is one of my favourite players outside of the Lakers and is great to watch as long as he isnt playing against your team.
Which leads me to the Lakers playoff spot, if the season ended today we would be in 7th and meet the Suns. This is not a matchup im looking forward to, its always a track meet against those guys and our transition defense is awful. With Amare back it makes it an even more ominous series, i'd rather meet the Mavs or Spurs at least they play half court ball and let us set up our D.
All that aside great to see Amare back and i hope he is over his injury.

Lakers would be even better off trying to pass Memphis so they can play the Nuggets. They really need to fix the divisions because its ruining the playoff set up.

thats good for his fans and the league but hopefully he isn't rushing himself, and makes it worse
thats a good point, but even if he is in the running i think we all know he wouldn't have a chance.......as much as i hate to say it, i think nash will or should win it again, he has done more this year than last with less, plus the naysayers that said he was only getting those numbers because he had Amare are being proven wrong
one thing about mello though..he has that killer instinct that lebron does not have. carmello has hit MANY MANY big shots for the nuggets this year. most of them shots with less than a second to go in the game.
People are still going to say that new players are still contributing, or that the team is better or whatever. People will always find an excuse about Nash and the MVP. Maybe because its a PG that doesnt shoot, but passes instead?
Nash certainly should be considered for MVP, but I do agree with Myth that the other players get overlooked. Marion is arguably the most complete player in the game, Diaw has matured into a poor man's Magic, Thomas, House etc. That's not a bad group by any means.
Personally, I think Wade should be MVP.

I see it as Wade or Dirk. I'm undecided between the two and one day I lean one direction while I'll lean the other direction on another.
I see 3rd as either Nash or Kobe.

The only time i've seen Charlie V play is in the Rookie/Sophomores game, from what i saw he looked like a good baller. Looked like he could play the 3 front court positions given time. I havent really heard any negative reports about him but then i havent really been following the Raptors season very closely. He looks like a solid player from what i saw and scoring 48pts in your rookie season is a tremendous feat. If he can consistently build on that then the Raptors have a very nice front line with he and Bosh. I think they should keep Mike James when the season is up to, he has been solid for them this year. How are they fixed for the salary cap Royke?

The reason he was called the bust of the draft was because he wasn't THAT good in college. From the way he played in College, there was no way he should have went that early. Who would have that he would play better in the NBA than he did in College.
I'm not saying he was bad, he was pretty good, but he definatley was great.
yeaj mike james we need to keep... but we need a pure passing point...
when the raps drafted him all teh critics called babcock crazy and stupid, which may be the case... but it was'nt fair on cv, people forget that a lot of college players are good... even htough they dont seem it. teams draft high school players for potential, they draft college players because they'll be solid players.
wheres tanjot after teh nets win last night? maybe too busy whacking himself over it
