Not looking good for my guys at the moment, down 8 with 6mins to go. Kobe has 5 fouls and guys have totally gone away from what got them in front in this series. Credit the Suns for playing some great D and hustling but we have gone back to being a perimeter team on offense.

Bulls making it a series, i love the heart on that team.

What a game!!!What a series!!!What a playoffs it's shaping up to be this year!!! When you have 7 and 8 seeds challenging 1 and 2's. It's really shaping up to be some memorable NBA games from here on out, for years to come.

Doesn't matter who wins or loses, the real winners are us as NBA fans!!! rock

If you looked up the word inconsistency in the dictionary their pictures would be right there, especially Kwame who's never lived up to his 1st pick draft status even now. Lamar with all his skills and talent has never, to my knowledge, been an All-Star. Some times his presence is felt and yet at other times he's invisible. You can't seriously compare them against Marion and Staudemire.

As far as the role players Nash has around him, Eddie House and Barbosa have been consistent scorers ever since they came into the league. Bell and Thomas have both been consistent defenders. The only one you can make an argument for is Diaw and the only reason why no one's ever heard of him is because he played in the NBA's version of Siberia (Atlanta). But there's no question he's a skilled and talented player and a big reason for their success this year.

Btw, you're right I purposely left out some other big veteran Laker names Brian Cook, Chris Mihm and Luke Walton. roll eyes (sarcastic)

If this Lakers team was comprised of players like Ron Harper, Robert Horry, Rick Fox and Vlade, then you would definitely have a valid argument but as it stands now to compare these current two teams, there's just just no contest! Phoenix has a better team.

The Laker's supporting cast is comprised of underachievers who are over achieving and playing with a lot of confidence right now. Not all of that credit goes to Kobe of course, Jackson has had a lot to do with it as well but it doesn't hurt to play along side arguably the best player in the NBA this season. Playing along side greatness gives other players around him the confidence that they can win any game, just like it must have felt playing along side #23.

So in conclusion, yes Nash was deserving but my point is there were 3 people ahead of him the season who were more deserving. Can you honestly say Dirk wasn't deserving?

these lakers "who?" role players, they are playing better than the "proven" role players of the phoenix suns, Eddie House and Barbosar are good players, but not as good as q-tip or joe johnson...and to prove your point about the suns have better role players than the lakers team isn;t as good as you think it is... kobe only played 10 minutes of the 1st half and the lakers still were able to play with the suns and keep the score tied at half time, this isn't the phoenix suns of the regular season and it sure the hell ain't the happytrigger kobe bryant that had an ego the size of his forehead, the lakers are an extremely young team, they may be inconsitent at times but thats probaly due to them being so young, right now they are anything but incosistent, lamar odom odom is averagin 19 points for this series, hows that for inconsisticy ....i already said that you can make a case for all 5 MVP's candidates and that they are all derserving, and admited that if Kobe played like he is playing now for the whole season i don't think anyone would argue who the MVP is, but to say nash is any less deserving than the rest of them is absurbed

Kings tied it up, this one just might go 7. What an upset if the Kings manage to knock out the defending champs!

What a difference Artest makes. I bet Kings fans will want to vote him for Governor next. big grin

They showed that over and over at night with the microphone picking up Nash's voice calling timeout and yes he said it before the whistle blew. HOWEVER, Walton's hands were already on the ball when Nash called timeout.

Anyway, one more loss and the Suns are out of here. big grin
And then I will go back to my usual ways of rooting hardcore against the Lakers. Btw, this is the only series I have ever wanted the Lakers to win in my life.

And I just want to shout WTF! to the Spurs and Cavs.

It was Diaw who called timeout, Nash himself said he didnt call it. But as Myth rightly said Walton's hands were on the ball which nullifies the timeout plea.
Tough game for the Suns to lose, they played their best ball of the series and got their running game going for long stretches (hence the solid game from Marion). I think they may win the next one at home, the young Laker players could go into the next game too confident and the Suns crowd will be in a frenzy. Im picking my guys to close the series out at home as long as we can control tempo (key word for this series).

How about the Spurs getting worked by the Kings? You must be loving this Dr.

Yeah it has been pretty good this year. The Kings game and the Bucks game were the most fun I've ever had watching a blowout.

Too bad the NBA playoffs are never like this EVERY year and EVERY series. This is why NCAA ball is liked so much, because every game goes down to the wire.

I dunno how the Spurs can be tied 2-2 with the Kings... :/

Yeah it's great to see the Mavs in the 2nd Round. Nowitzki is the man. The big man can do everything.

Lakers are doing v well too IMO. Kobe being selfless and passing the ball and working as a team. Great to watch. I'm sure they can end this series 4-1 at Phoenix tml.

GO LAKERS!!!!

I'm glad both Dallas and Clippers moved on. Still pissed that Dallas has to meet SA in the 2nd (most likely). I want both teams to be successful but now only 1 can. Oh well, I guess go Spurs (I'll be rooting for them 55% over Dallas).

I don't know why people thought that the dallas series would go 6 or 7, memphis doesnt have the firepower to keep up with them, plus they werent even 100%, but i thought that the clippers/nuggets series would be longer than 5 games...i want the spurs to go to the finals, like i said i want redemption, but if the spurs play to there potential than that dallas series will be one hell of a series to watch, this is of course if the spurs don't blow it and get by the kings....How about the Wade/Payton altercation, Payton needs to shut his mouth, How dare he contest with Wade, doesn't anyone even know what that was about?

mavs are on a mssion. grizzlies were a decent team but i think losing in overtime was too tough for them to swallow... they got some experience now though. the mavs however? no-ones gonna have an easy tiem against them, i'm looking at a pistons mavs finals.

lakers are looking good, 7 games at the staples centre in the second round? awesome stuff. thats going to be another awesome series. i just dont see the suns coming back.... unless they win the next game. nash is injured but still playing.

Wow, another Lakers fan and from New Zealand to. What are the odds?

Anyone hear about Kobe and Shaq's babies being born on the same day? That's spooky, i guess those guys will always be linked even if they dont want to be. What an end to Kobe's day, 2 buzzer beaters and welcoming his baby daughter into the world. Doesnt get any better than that.

The Mavs had nothing to fear from the Grizz, now they are committed to playing defense they are looking like a playoff team for once. Someone was talking about the ugliest player a few pages back and i have to nominate Dirk, the dude has crazy skills but he looks like Lurch or some shit (thats from the Adam's Family for all you youngsters). stick out tongue

The Nuggests have been a disappointment, no wonder the Clippers tanked a few games to get them. I thought they might put up a fight but they were shown the door without much effort by the Clipps.
I hope we can take care of the Suns and set up an all LA series, no road games - sweet.
