yeah i remember seeing that crossover on teh daily internet show... very sweet. as for vince being in teh all star game? he ownt start, but he'll be there. i'm also hoping bosh will be there, he deserves a lot of respect right now.
as for isiah thomas, awesome player, terrible gm. if i were knicks managment (oh i do wish) he'd be out of there.
well, my two favourite teams are squaring off tonight. the raps and the blazers. bosh versus randolph is getting me excited, randolph has more muscle but bosh has more speed.. both good players! i think the raps may nick it, but i do like them a little more than teh blazers
oops. well then, the nets r second in line to win the eastern conference final.... most likely it will b new jersey and detroit in the eastern conference final, i doubt new jersey will win although i want them too... i would love to c how vince performs in the finals.
So Mark Blount is in two trade rumors, and I wouldn't mind either.
There's Blount to T-Wolves for Kandi-man. I like T-Wolves and think Blount could do much better. Although Wolves are busy working real hard to try to get Pierce which is very unlikely since Wally is their best piece to offer.
There is also Blount and Marcus Banks to Cavs for Gooden and Damon Jones. Jones has not fit in with Cavs and Gooden looks good on paper (stats), but the man is a handicap when it matters. He's also very inconsistant.

I was just reading about how Shaq is thinking about joining the 2008 Olympic team and it made me thing, could this be another reason why Shaq suddenly made up with Kobe? Kobe is already on the team and if Shaq thinks he may play on the same team, he may have felt that it would be better to make up when it doesn't seemed forced because of having to co-exist again.
Personally, I don't think it is wise of Shaq to join the 2008 team. He has too many injury problems as it is at this point in his career. Its not for sure that he will be healthy enough to play at that time, and of all people, he would seem to be taking the biggest risk by playing extra.

I agree man, Snaq has a hard enough time making it through the NBA season nowadays. Plus i dont think he would be able to keep up, if you watch Heat games at the moment it seems that one of the opposing teams strategies is to get their center to just sprint down the floor after getting a defensive rebound just to tire the big guy out. Seattle used it in the last game i watched and after a few minutes Snaq was huffing a blowing.
If i was picking Centers for the Olympic team i would be looking at young athletes like Howard, Amare, Okafor and Bynum (i couldnt help that) to play. The euro centers are very good at playing away from the basket and have more of a face up game. These types have always caused Snaq problems and in a few years he would be humiliated going against them.
As for the Snaq and Kobe make up, i dont really care why they did it. Im just glad all that shit is over with, BSPN is gonna have to come up with some new drama now.

i'd have marcus camby and dwight howard in teh olympics, cambys defense would be lovely for the usa, and personally, i think they should include a few college players too.
toronto lost, but the blazers won, i was glad it was a close game, wouldnt like to see one blow the other out. 4 straight for the blazers, all good there! pity the raps are losing again
Jesus, BSPN just build players up to knock them down. Last night they were ripping LeBron a new one for not being "clutch" enough and missing a couple of game winners and passing up some open shots with the game on the line. So let me get this straight they bash Kobe constantly for taking too many shots and not getting his team involved and now LeBron is in the firing line because he passes to teammates who have a higher %age shot.
BSPN just have to rip into someone and it really sucks how they have spent the last 3yrs building LeBron up as the saviour of the NBA and now he comes up short they do a complete 180. The only analyst i can stand is Greg Anthony, for a start he is an ex player not some blow hard that probably never got picked for his high school team.
Its gonna take a while for Bron to develop the mentality to take the last shot and trust his abilities. As much has Kobe is unpopular he is rare because he doesnt have any fear of missing the game winner, he is willing to by the hero or villain. Bron isnt that kind of player yet and he may never be but at least give him a chance, once he makes his 1st game winner he will start to trust himself more with the game on the line.
I wish i had an alternative to BSPN, or are all the sports channels in the US like this?

This apparently is the USA team so far:
AI
Kobe
LeBron
Brand
Howard
All pretty good choices in my opinion.
What do you guys think about the Antonio Davis suspension? I can't believe he got 5 games. I can see an auto-ejection and maybe a default of 1 or 2 games extra for entering the stands but he did nothing and got 5 games. The man was checking on his wife.

Well he did kinda choke. He passed up an open three pointer, that would've put the Cav's in the lead in the final second, to pass to a guy I don't even know. And he missed a lot of three throws in the final minutes.
Lebron is a star player. He's going to get the all of the credit in the wins and all the blame in the loss. Just how it goes. If you remember before Shaq won three titles, the argument was always "Yes he's dominant, but he hasn't won anything yet and he can't" Then when he went on the three peat, it was a sin to talk bad about Shaq in the media.

LeBron messed up by not shooting that open three or at least driving. Then he had to watch Pavlovic drive twice. I bet LeBron was thinking that Pav would shoot the long ball better than himself but was disappointed when Pav drove the ball. LeBron probably thought "Drive? If we wanted to drive I would have done it myself." LeBron will learn.... hopefully.

Thats what i mean by getting the high %age shot, Pavlovic is a good 3pt shooter and he was wide open. It was a better shot than LeBron who isnt a great outside shooter going against a double team. The missed free throws happen to everyone, my main complaint was that BSPN was acting like he'd just cost his team the championship.
The Antonio situation is messed up, common sense should prevail here. There was no malice in the situation and he was just doing what anyone else would do for their family. I understand there are rules in place and because of the brawl they have to be followed, but a 5 game suspension for looking out for your family? Come on.
I like the way team USA is shaping up, they definitely need some pure shooters like Redd and Allen to spread the floor and a few role players. They have the instant offence and defense of Kobe and the big athletic playmaker in Bron. Howard is a monster, defensively he is gonna be a sight to see. Same could be said for Brand this year who is having a MVP type season.
Here's a question for you guys that i have been seeing alot since the Lakers Heat game, do you think Shaq is gonna enough left in the tank to get the Heat the championship that he promised? He is definitely on the decline but does he still provide enough dominance to take the Heat and their team of stars all the way?

Not single-handedly but his presence certainly still helps. I think its still very possible but last year was their best shot and things didn't go as planned.

lakez lose, they had the game during reg. up by 6. then they gave up 2 3pters to bibby and miller. lol @ odom thinking he's kob', dude shoot the last possession instead of passing it to the king. smh
It's Odom's fault they lost that game, I thought they had it in the bag.
Lamar Odom=Loser of the game
Kenny Thomas=Player of the game
there must be some mistake, my name isn't on that list......david stern is a deushbag, if i ever seen him i would throw a nerf football as hard as i could at his face, than been like "DUUDE, you were WIDE OPEN!!!"
That game shows the pros and cons of Lamar Odom. Kobe finds him for a 3 to put us up by 6 with 30 seconds to go. The next possession after Bibby hits a three, instead of running the clock he makes some crazy WTF move and gets called for a charge. This results in the Kings getting the ball back and Miller being able to tie it up. Frustrating game for the Lakers but its the lack of experience in that situation that killed us, only Kobe knows how to close out game properly. Odom can be great sometimes and then it seems like he has a joint in the timeout and makes a total bonehead play like last night.
Worst of all we got Phoenix tonight, the last team you want after playing OT.

Anybody see the interview with Phil after that Laker game? He was trying to defend Lamar but it looked like the least sincere defense I've ever seen. They said (close but not exact words), "It was obvious Kobe thought he was getting the ball. Was Lamar supposed to pass to him?" Phil had an angry look and just stared at the reporter for about 10 seconds before answering, "Lamar was suppose to find the play or make the play." He also said he wanted Lamar to redeem himself but the whole interview Phil was giving this vibe that he was pissed at Lamar but verbally was defending him.

this is irrelevant from this convo, but who here thinks that calls in the nba should be reviewed and able to be changed like in the nfl. such as challenging a call, and checking the replay just to make sure and being able to reverse a call... there have been so many bad calls in close games down the stretch in nba games. in my opinion, the instant replay cant wait.
I personally would like to see challenges. I think that is a great rule in the NFL. The only problem is that things like fouls in basketball are based more on opinion rather than NFL where you challenge simply if a knee was down or positioning. Also, because there are so many little things that can be passed by the refs that a lot of times there would not be much risk in the challenges so it would just really slow the game down. I hope that made sense to you guys, its kind of hard to type it out right now (drinking). I think they should make challenges but make it so that the team loses a time out even if they are correct by challenging the call. That way the coaches not only have to determine if they are right, but also they have to determine whether the call was so bad that its worth losing a time out over. That way the game doesn't get slowed down too much.
