Do you know what Jesus stood for? He stood for all the minorities, all the discriminated people, all the weak and all the different.

Just look at your Bible's history - jesus seem to be the one which was liberal at the times in which he was brought up.

Jack Chick is scrutinising anyone who doesn't believe what he believes. He fillers his cartoons with propaganda and lies in order to show soe kind of superiority over other people.

It disturbs me that you cannot see anything wrong with his cartoons and message. It disturbs me a lot.

I wonder if the forum would benefit from a thread that is basically a counter to Chick Tracts, and recounts all the horrible things he espouses.

But then, it's really just JIA. There's not a big Chick following that would potentially benefit. So meh.

Edit: And even if the fundamentalists were exactly correct about the will of God, there are lots of other sings that are higher on the hit-list! Lil B, you wanted someone to post how Jesus condemned homosexuality in the Bible? Here's a couple:

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. (Mark 10:6-8)

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? (Matthew 19:4-5)

Did God make Adam and Steve? No, He made Adam and Eve. Man and woman. If God intended for homosexuality, wouldn't He have made Adam and Steve, or Anna and Eve?

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? (John 5:46-47)

Wait a minute, so if we believe what Moses wrote, all of it, we'll believe what Jesus said? Didn't God give this to Moses to write down?

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

Let's also not forget that Jesus was not shy about correcting false doctrine. He let the pharisees and sadducees have it for their hypocrisy in what they were teaching. If homosexuality were ok, unlike what God shows us throughout the Bible, wouldn't Jesus have been more vocal about it? ESPECIALLY considering that He was speaking and teaching mostly Hebrews (who know the Old Testament law) when He was alive, and not the Gentiles?

All this shows us is that ancient morals were less accepting and loving than what we're capable of. You have the opportunity to be more loving than the religion you espouse. Why not try it?

Your opening lines also pretend to know a lot about God. It seems presumptuous.

The NT passages you posted have nothing to do with being pro or against homosexuality. So not sure where you're getting Jesus condemning homosexuality from those.

Leviticus teaches us that more than just homosexuality is an "abomination" in the 'eyes' of God; so are you okay with slavery and condemning people if they eat shellfish [as two examples]?
