Yeah, I was getting annoyed by that Tim Tebow..... it was brutal....does the guy even have any talent or its just that he is big.
I have a few comments about what happened during the broadcast.
1. That eagle flying was most cheesiest thing I have ever seen. I was like, " oh god, a ****ing eagle". It's like Canada dumping a big bag of maple tree leaves on the stadium during the singing of the anthem.
2. Did anybody see when Florida came out during introductions, and how that 80 year old man was stuck in the middle of these huge football players? Whats even better is that they didnt stop, or let him out...so a couple of guys had to pull him out of the bullrush.
3. Worst coin flip ever....." Where's bud, where's bud" And somehow I thought he was an army vet or someting, and then this ****ing kid comes out...I was like, ok???.
4. Man, how many times did the camera guy get upskirt shots of all the cheerleaders? Atleast a dozen.
The guy has a load of confidence and isn't afraid of getting decapitated if it means gaining an extra inch. He's like a cape buffalo with an arm.
Over the season, I'd be willing to bet (just from watching games) that 80% of his shotgun snaps were intended runs up the middle. I can only recall one instance last night where he was stopped at the line of scrimmage. That tells me was one of two things: Bad coaching or being overpowered. Maybe it was a little bit of both.

Earned 2006 Parade All-American honors…Participated in the U.S. Army All-American Game and CaliFlorida All-Star Game…Back-to-back first-team 3A (2004) and 4A (2005) All-State selections at quarterback…Threw for 9,940 yards and 95 touchdowns as a three-year starter at quarterback for Nease High School…Rushed for 3,169 yards and 63 scores in his prep career…Set the Florida state record with 4,286 yards passing his junior year…Was a team captain and helped lead Nease to a 13-2 record as a senior en route to leading the school to its first-ever Class 4A state championship…In the state championship game, was involved in a state championship game record 54 offensive plays (27 passing, 27 rushing) and was involved in six touchdowns in the contest, also a state championship game record…Owns the Florida state prep football records for total offense (12,960), career passing yards (9,940), touchdowns (159) and completed passes (631)…Also owns single-season state records in total offense (5,552), passing yards (4,286), touchdown passes (46) and total touchdowns (70)…Also played baseball and basketball at Nease…Chose Florida over Alabama…
It is Calvin Johnson and neither of them will be a target for Vince Young. Well Jarret has a small chance but Calvin will be long gone. It depends on if Jarret is the second WR taken or if Ginn Jr. is. Cause the Titans have a chance to get the 3rd WR taken but there is also a good chance all 3 of them will be gone by the time the Titans pick.

i was stunned by OSU's loss. i really can't help but wonder what would have happened had the teams met near the end of the regualr season. i mean seriously -- how the HELL was that the saem team that lucked their way through the south carolina game??!!
nearly a 2 month layoff HAD to have had some impact. i think the time off wa sa bigger impact than the loss of ginn . . .

Hey man, chill out. I didnt know. I'm just wondering because during the game all I saw was him running the ball up the middle. That's it. I figured if he was soo good, why isnt he throwing the ball too?
The Tim Tebow project was the most brilliant piece of coaching I saw this season. Time after time they would run him up the middle, on almost every snap he took. Then, with half the defense playing the run, he would run up, pull back, and throw it for a big completion.
BTW, Smas, do you remember the highlight earlier this year when the guy completed the jump-shot-hook basketball-style pass to the guy in the end zone? That was Tim Tebow against LSU. In that game against the Tigers, he took 15 snaps, running for a TD and throwing for 2 TD's. Both TD passes were fake runs up the middle and then he pulled back and delivered.
He accounted for 13 touchdowns during the regular season in a backup role. 8 rushing and 5 passing. I'm not saying he's the next Heisman candidate, but I give Meyer and Leak credit for the successful utilization of him.

Well, he was true freshman so it's uncertain. His passing skills at the collegient level haven't been tested yet. One thing's for certain: his quarterback draw ability won't be what NFL scouts are interested in.
ForumCrew you could be right, but I lay odds that Vince Young will be throwing to Calvin Johnson or Dwayne Jarrett. I was right last year when I told my family and friends that the Titans were going to draft Vince instead of Matt Leinert. Now I've told them that CJ or DJ will be a Titan. When that happens the Titans willl be a playoff team.
They didnt make the playoffs, so I would say, if they added the right people, they might have a chance for the playoff spot, not the superbowl.
Sooner or later, defense will key into Young and just like Vick, he could just be a good QB. Also, maybe the Titans overachieved a bit, and teams wont take them so lightly. And it doesnt help that the Colts are in the same division and unless Manning gets hit by a bus, then yeah.

there is no could be right. Calvin Johnson will not fall to the titans. Unless they trade up to a top pick they arnt getting him. Many draftg experts like Mel Keiper put Calvin as the #1 player. Not saying he will go #1 but he will go well before the titans. And you wanna see what a couple new players can do look at the saints. They were a last place team and now a big dog in the playoffs.
It was just a few players, alot of the old players have been released but overall, the Saints werent that bad of a team two years ago.
But adding Bree's, Bush, Colston, a whole new lineup of LB's and one of the better offensive coaches in the league isnt the same as the Titans adding an rookie WR and expecting to be Superbowl contenders.
So true Forumcrew and Smasandian but you two forget one thing. By adding Drew Brees and drafting Reggie Bush and Marcus Colston the Saints are in the playoffs and could get to the superbowl. All I am saying about the Titans is this I do believe that Dwayne Jarrett will be there when they draft. I do believe they will draft him. With an excellent draft and 42 million bucks to spend on free agents the Titans could and should have a 10-13 win season and get to the playoffs.
