IMO she views Will as a son
The compass tells her she wants to save Will the most in this world so it points to the chest but the man she wants most in this world is Jack Sparrow. So Mr compass points to him.
kinda explains the ending to DMC ay? So does my signature.

i know you are making some people mad on this site, but this seems like a very smart post to me. it makes a lot of sense.
not that i agree with all of it. but its true. a lot of the hints and rumors could go either way... i dont blame us for taking them OUR way... but they could mean something entirely different than we have them pegged.
i DO think the child would be the product of marriage, but i also think/hope it has been cut. if they want to mess with that, wait for 4. give us some time to get used to whatever happens in 3.
What you said, "liz is attracted to jack but loves will"... i think there is some sense in this. however, i think that could flip quite easily, if they wanted it to. who knows. but the attraction between jack and liz isnt a passing fancy... as jack would put it... it is resolute and unyielding. at least on his side of things.
and loving someone doesnt always mean you are meant to be with them forever. i agree that liz loves will a lot, but i am not always convinced it is a purely romantic love. they obviously have some problems as a couple. could they work through them? sure, i guess. will they? thats they mystery...

yeah but Ted elliot basically told us Elizabeth has deeper feelings for Jack..and its not just lust
heck if it was just lust and not some form of deeper feelings for him then I doubt she would make sure Jack is removed from her life at the end of DMC..he's such a threat to her and Will's "perfect relationship"
She killed Jack because he was SUCH a threat to her emotions and feelings...yeah like THATS just going to go away by movie 3.

this is funny..because Jerry, Ted, Terry and Gore all say that Jack is not your regular pirate...he has a sense of morality...he knows what's right and wrong...and in both pirate movies...he has proven it time and time again...and I bet you in POTC 3 we are going to see that in the long run he is a better man than Poor Old William Turner....Will is going to betray Jack big time..and in actuality Jack has never betrayed Will...he did not kiss Liz..she kissed him....and and and....I'd let Jack in my house any ole day..i'd love it...gosh, captain jack sparrow in my house..take what ya want Jack...it's all yours JACK IS NOT SELF_CENTERED...it's so funny how some people refuse to see the real Jack Sparrow..and the real Jack Sparrow was definitely revealed in that last scene of DMC....the courageous, good hearted man who sacrifices everything for his friends and crew....THE WRITERS AND DIRECTORS AND PRODUCERS...HAVE SAID THIS..THAT JACK IS REALLY A GOOD HONEST MAN THAT WHY HE IS SUCH A BAD PIRATE.....And we are also going to find out that everytime Jack stole a treasure or something (which I have seen no evidence of this) that he stole from the evil, filthy rich and gave to the poor and underpriviledge...possibly helped the slaves eat and drink that he refused to transport and trade for the EITC...you'll see.....and plus, if you really really really look at Jack Sparrow...he is the real hero of this trilogy....

Whats interesting is howed and Terry say never trust Jack when he uses lots of words.when he does that he's usually trying to decieve and is being dishonest, he ususally has bad intentions at heart.
Jack is his most honest when he is SILENT or uses very little words.
then take that bit of info and put it over all the moments of Jack/Liz in the trilogy so far..you will see what Jack/Liz is all about
guess who's the one that uses all the words where they are trying to hide their true intentions/emotions in certain close Jack/Liz scenes?
thats right..Its his little Lizzie.
what ever she's saying to him in those senes when she's blabbing on is a lie ...she's trying to cover up what she is really doing or why she is really doing it to him.
think of that with the Curiosity scene and the end scene.
think of the moments when they are both silent together as well..for example the godlike shot. It says it all about their relationship.

I wouldnt say he is entirely honest though..He is not really that kind of hero...He's honest to those he chooses to be honest and good too..to others his character may switch.
well, i think we all know there WILL be a wedding between jack and liz... correct? so why couldnt there be a kid from that union? (not that i want it, and i still think that bit is way out anyways).
yeah, I dont think Jack is a good man, but he's a smart man with a decent side to him. he does want to do the right thing for the most part, but he also wants to survive.
i think his main problem is that he isnt very communicative. he really has great plans to help himself and everyone else survive and get what he wants, but he doesnt share them with everyone (due to bad experiences in his past) so people think he's double crossing them when he's not... if he were a bit more open with people, he would come across more how he really is...
