I didnt think id give a squat about the sandman, while watching this movie in the works. But when i saw the movie, and how it started off introducing him, and all the character development that was going on. Especially the awesome and strangely beautiful meloncholy that was going on , when his genes spliced with the sand chromosomes. I thought they would do a decent job of portarying him like the previous villians. In short, making me give a squat. But then we just start seeing less and less of him, and they completly ditched his story. Its like a literal change of plot , while the movies rolling. Like someone through in a different half assed spiderman movie, now focusing mainly on the symboite saga. GOD , i know that raimi was sticking to his guns about his hatred towards venom. But they got him to make a symboite movie anyways! I think this will forever bother me, because we are now stuck with these spiderman movies. Itll be like 30 generations later when they decide to make another one im sure. They had the oppurtunity to make a great symboite spiderman movie, in the quality that matches the other decent films. BUT NO, they diffently pulled an xmen 3 on this one.

He means "singing" .She sung twice, the first time in her play and then at the end of the movie.

Yeah I tried to edit it, but it was giving me problems.

Was I the only one who thinks she can't sing?

You know the thing is she has proven she CAN act.a lot of people say she was really bad in the films and she was a horrible MJ since she acted much more like gwen stacy and hardly anything at all like MJ.But I put the blame on that on Raimis direction and the screenwriting because when she is not doing Raimis work and doing someone elses, she has proven she can act because in MAN-SPIDER 2 when she was doing that play-which is a classic by the way,she was impressive in that role because that was a play and it wasnt Sam Raimi's and sonys spider-man.

All the fans begged for Venom so I can see why they put him in. I would of stuck with one bad guy per film, but thats just me.

why are people complaining about dusnt singing? it was obviously a professional singer and dunst was lip mimic,i went to the movie prepared to have my ears go deaf, but the singer actually sings nice, you guys just have a bad taste for music or none at all,the lyrics song were stupid though.

You do get that she was supposed to be bad at singing right? I mean, I'm not saying that she sung badly on purpose, but no one expected you to be entertained by her singing.

That's why she was fired.

It was a plot point.

I think that the biggest mistake its the whole movie. If they let sam raimi and sonny doing those crappy movies, it will be a shame for the true true spiderman fans.

I mean: venom cameo, the butler confession, mary jane singing( dunst is a good actress, but not in these crappy movies), sandman being uncle ben killer, tobey crying and doing travolta and billy joel impersonator, terrible script, etc. Too much for a movie. This could be as bad as batman and robin.

Nothing can be as bad as Batman and Robin.

oh you meant this one,the script plain and simple,it was obviously they had some material that was supressed in order for the simbiont F* fest appear on the screen,if i had to name i would say AVI ARAD!
this movie would obviously be sandman and harry but no,lets get me some money, venom someone?

ignoring this and focusing on what the movie showed, i would say lack of character development, they were....just there, the bugler scene resumes that perfectly.this movie should had been called lethal coincidences instead of spiderman 3,everything just happens out of coincidence.

even though goofy and arrogant ,peter with simbiont was part of the context in the movie, the simbionte made peter let loose for the first time, and well....its peter so his let loose (in the movies) is like that.(not that i liked)

the second biggest betrayal was the simbionte saga, i mean, the main ticket seller of this movie and the center of all merchandising was spiderman in his black suit, and then venom (or maybe first venom and then spider black suit),and spider in black suit got less screen time then venom!!! WTH!!!
it was REALLY like this
scene 1 :spiderman finds the simbiont and goes whorraaaaaah...the scene last 26 s.
scene 2: peter and doc connors are analizing the simbiont

!?!?!?!?!!?!?!! that was it?that was a slap in the face.biggest betrayal.

All of you haters obviously play with yourselves at night. It really ticks me off when people whine and complain about a movie just because it didn't meet their high expectations. Let's be serious, Sam Raimi made what he thought would be a masterpiece and succeeded tremendously. Spiderman 3 was a great movie. It had a lot of action and the right amount of drama in it. The only disappointment in the whole movie would be the fact that Venom, supposely, got blown up by the pumpkin bomb. It was a unfair way to get rid of a very popular character. For all we know, Eddie Brock could have survived the blast. Harry Osborn did, so why not Brock? Overall, the movie was excellant. Rather than critcizing Sam Raimi's hard work for childish reasons, why don't you people shut up and get a life!
