Here's the Ninja Gaiden OVA a couple of people were asking for. Do note that this OVA was loosely based on the original Ninja Gaiden trilogy. The original trilogy is not considered part of the X-box version canon by Itagaki.
I was preparing an update and pressed enter by accident. Please check the respect thread at a later time for the update. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.
a) Swords: Swords are balanced weapons usable in most situations.

Dragon Sword - A Japanese sword passed down through the generations in the Hayabusa Ninja Clan. It is said to have been carved out of the fang of a dragon. This sword is the same legendary sword featured in previous Ninja Gaiden games. This sword represents the "good" to the Dark Dragon Blade's "evil".

True Dragon Sword is the final upgrade of the DS and it distinguishes itself because of it's blade glowing lilac with the released power of the sword.

Plasma Saber - The lightsaber of Ninja Gaiden. Matching weapon for Ryu's "future" ninja outfit.

Kitetsu - A long sword, distinguishable from the Dragon sword by its ability to absorb its victims' health and transfer it to the user, and also by its ability to split into two swords for some attacks.(I'll find some scans or videos showing the split spectral swords)

b) Chain Guns: Short range weapons trade off power and range for speed to allow the creation of large combo attacks.

Nunchaku - A simple wooden nunchaku.
(please log in to view the image)
Vigoorian Flail - Bears a likeness to a kusarigama, but replaces the traditional iron weight with a second sickle. Essentially, it works the same as the Nunchaku, but features several additional attacks, and deals more damage due to its bladed tips.
War Hammer: Gigantic hammer/axe; it is slow but does a large amount of damage.
(please log in to view the image)
War Hammer - Rachel's weapon of choice. A War Hammer said to have been made by medieval Vigoorians. It was primarily made for exterminating Fiends, but can destroy many other things as well such as walls.
Greatswords: Huge swords, slower but capable of attacking multiple enemies simultaneously and dealing large amounts of damage.

Dabilahro - A greatsword. Resembles a Buster sword initially, but becomes serrated when leveled up. This weapon acts as a more versatile War Hammer: it is also capable of destroying crumbling walls.

Dark Dragon Blade - A powerful sword that contains an essence of pure evil. Carved from the bones of a black dragon. It is sealed and under guard by the Hayabusa clan, and is a key plot element.
[I am missing the scan of the Dark Dragon Blade, but you can take a look at NG's intro http://youtube.com/watch?v=OYnkGvAhMHQ to see the Dark Dragon Blade]

Wooden Sword - A wooden training sword. Unlabored Flawlessness - When fully upgraded, the Wooden Sword's visual appearance changes to resemble an eku. When maxxed the wooden sword becomes the Unlabored Flawlessness. The most powerful weapon in key situations.

The Unlabored Flawlessness has a unique ability to it; when the player is at low health , the characters imprinted on the back of the weapon begin to glow, signifying an increase in the weapon's power.
Staff

Lunar - A Bo staff/spear. Capable of fast combo attacks to multiple enemies. This weapon performs mostly sweeping attacks that knock the enemy back or into the air.
Miscelanous

Spear Gun - Underwater weapon. Blocking is not possible while wielding this weapon. It can be used above water but serves little to no purpose.

Shuriken - Simple, cross-shaped throwing stars; they are an indispensable part of every Ninja's arsenal. The weakest of Ryu's projectile weapons, Ryu has an infinite supply.
(please log in to view the image)
Incendiary Shuriken - Despite the label, these are technically kunai which have a small explosive on one end. When a vulnerable enemy is struck, it activates a 3 second fuse. The kunai then explodes, damaging all enemies in the blast radius, throwing small enemies back, and dealing them damage.

Windmill Shuriken - A giant shuriken with four folding blades, it will return to its owner when thrown. It can decapitate enemies.
Smoke Bomb - Temporarily blinds all enemies in the area, making them attack the area that Ryu was last in.
(please log in to view the image)
Bow - A typical bow. As a projectile weapon that makes no sound, the bow and arrow are of great use to the Ninja during their covert activities.
(please log in to view the image)
Strongbow - A composite bow made in Vigoor in medieval times. With this better version Ryu can use the following type of arrows:
Explosive Arrows - Arrows with an explosive tip.
APFSDS Cores - Tungsten-coated arrows that are armor-piercing.
Ryu Hyabusa's ultimate attack is comparable to Cloud Strife's Omnislash in Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, which means its extremeley devestating.
After DOMINATING Ninja Gaiden Black Im having a hard time thinking of any non-cosmic characters that could defeat Ryu Hyabusa other than MAYBE Cloud Strife or Sephiroth.
In the game's story, Ryu kills characters on the level of Mephisto, Blackheart, and Fin Fang Foom. They really should produce an anime movie of Ninja Gaiden cuz Im sure it would be extremeley successful. Very cool character..
Indeed. Even the old OVA based on the original Ninja Gaiden is a nice anime with good battle sequences. Ninja Gaiden has everything it takes to become a cult classic: A super ninja/badass protagonist, a hot big boobed sidekick, Fiends/Demons, lots of weapons & different settings from feudal Japan to futuristic Vigoor.
Much thanks, Cloud. I know I promised I would find vids showing Ryu's skills, but I've been a bit busy and I've been unable to find them. Please post more of them if you can.
