Well....to be honest...I don't know what Jack and Elizabeth are....all I know is they are HOT....and sure do hope that that is the "romance" part that the writers, producers and such are referring to....cause to be honest...I'm not sure I could handle any lovey-dovey scenes between Will and Liz...I may just have to take a bathroom break if that happens....

but honestly I'm so over the whole "OH I love u!" "Oh I love u too!" "I love u more." "NO! I love U more!" thing. I'm fed up with the whole: the world is peachy perfect. People u love always love u back. you'll over come the obsticles together and go riding into the sunset.

i REALLY know what you mean... i think so too^^ forbidden relationships are the most exciting. you have to yearn for each other. it has to be a fight to be with the person you love deep within. i´m not a very romantic person as well but i love the fact a "bad boy" gives up everything for you, cause you are the only one who can tame him. apart from that i think rough and darker men are a LOT more interesting, because it takes much more to get to see their real side. fighting and winning is more satisfying than being locked up in a golden cage...
i dont where i put it in a post i made a few days ago, but it was an interview with TnT saying that AWE would be about love and relationships and doing the right thing....
So i guess we will get some closure atleast.

The beauty of it is that Jack is the most known bachelor pirate there is, and for him to be completely vexed by ONE WOMAN which is LIZ, and who is in fact a virgin...makes it even more romantic...*sigh*

Damn, girls, you're getting me really jumpy to watch that extra special scene in DMC again. They say when Fast Times at Ridgemont High came out, guys broke their tapes watching the Phoebe Cates coming out of the pool scene over and over again. Good thing we have dvds because we'd all break our VHSs rewinding that kiss again and again.
I think it's very important that Liz is a virgin. One, it describes her character, that she really is innocent deep down and two, it lets you imagine just how gentle Jack is going to have to be with her. Even in the event they get together, she may not be ready for sex for a while and he's going to have to wait until she's ready and then help ease her into it. But it will be well worth it for both of them. Sigh. I should start my own fanfic.

You are absolutely right. They had a reason of having Liz a virgin and even mentioning it at DMC.
It puts Jack in a more gentle position. And it prooves on how patient he is on letting Liz make her decision, even though he knows what she wants, because he cares about her....

Because he admires her independence. She's not like other girls in that time period. She's resourceful and always is confident in her decisions and he likes that. Why force her to do anything when it's that independence you love about her?

^^I think the whole virgin thing is very important since T&T mention it in the commentary too! they say all the stories that the Edinberg crew are saying is true. BTW I agree that it has a lot to do with JE but it also worries me just a little.
because her being a virgin can imply (I'm not saying it does but it can) that Elizabeth doesn't know what she wants and that she's just sexually frustrated and her interest in Jack is just physical. If they decide to make it a COMPLETE WE ending that will be a nice way to justify the JE attraction and than dismiss it. That's NOT how I see it but they can easily use it as an excuse.
But the thing that makes me NOT worry is that it can work both ways. while the whole sexual frustration thing can justify lizzie's feelings what about Jack? he's been around for a long while and he's attraction to liz is very pure and u can tell that lizzie's feelings are deeper than just physical too. Will NEVER challenges her in any way but with Jack?
even talking to him is a challenge. they challenge EACHOTHER but in different ways. he challenges her in being witty pirate and she challenges him on marality and doing the right thing.

Well, yeah, if it is W/E they'll play off the J/E relationship as lust and pent-up frustration. But unless that's done very well, I would think that was sloppy. Who's to say that she doesn't stick with Will for the same reasons? She wants to have sex and here's a guy who she knows wants to, too.
