padme and anakin had another child before luke and leia, anakin didnt want to stop hiding their love so he threw it out of their coruscaunt apartment's window. the child landed on a passing speeder. after it was 10 years old it was encountered by vader and was made to be his apprentice. when vader had his dna tested, he found that he was in fact, his father. so...
"SECRET APRENTICE, *I* am your father"
Or vader cheated on padme with a hutt and then they had a child and vader, after giving it prosthetic limbs raised it to be his own secret apprentice. either one makes for a great twist...
i was just checking out TFU on Lucas arts. in all the combat sequences, including light saber bettles, there are bright shiny neon lights everywhere. he uses force push, and purple neon lights surround the character he is attacking, hit someone with your saber and and the get red glowy lights around them, then fall down without a scratch on them. No cuts, no amputations. Anybody agree with me that it looks like a kiddie game? I don't want my bad guys exploding when i cut them with a light saber, and that is what they all appear to do. Right now, i'm profoundly disappointed with everything i've seen. i wanted a realistic saber game for the Wii, and now it looks like they aren't even giving you as a good a saber game as you got with JK2 or JA.
i think thats only with one version (ps2 i think)
here some news
the first level is not you playing as the secret apprentice, but playing as darth vader!!
you go to kashyk and find the secret apprentice there..
heres the kmc/video games discussion thread http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f66/
I found out something about the apprentice... He might not turn out to be as powerful as we thought:
Interviewer: "Are you the most powerful guy in the Star Wars Universe?"
Haden Blackman: "You're pretty powerful, but this is the way we're portraying the Force throughout the game, so, everybody you fight that has Force powers will be 'unleashed' as well."
Yet the way Force will be presented is likely to suck Yodas doodle.
"Mystical energy field created by all living things". Not a fancy party thingy that is used to make latest pixel shaders overheat.

Its about time they give vader some combat badassness. He is seriously ****ing underestimated and incredibly underrated despite him being nearly as powerful as the most powerful sith lord ever.

Your abilities with the force are only limited by your mind. So... really it is a fancy party thingy in your mind used to make latest pixel shaders overheat... if you will it to in your mind.
That's why I never got the whole "abusing the force" thing. Just because an undertrained snot nosed kid and three old guys way past their prime couldn't do anything impressive with it doesn't mean everyone else can't.
Lets have a Star Wars game A. Here you will play a character, who can do everything Obi1 could do in the prequel trilogy.
The game is good and sells well. Now we make a new game. B.
The main character is three times as powerful as kenobi ever was. He even puts Yoda to shame. Game sells well and all is good.
If they were to make a game C, would it sell well if the force powers were anything less than seen in a previous ones?
After being able to throw massive stuff around and fill entire rooms with Force lightning, many people might find anything less to be "boring".
Sooner or later people might start to rationalize that the characters seen in movies are horribly weak when compared to games.
Where is the cap? How powerful can a Jedi be? If these games give us ever more powerful characters to play with, is the force going to suffer inflation?
In the 80's Luke's saber-telekinesis and Vader's strangle were great.
These days the awe is around acrobatics.
I just feel like the Force was more valuable back then than it is now.
the secret apprentice hasnt put yoda to shame yet
yoda could pick up mountains, and was throwing around CIS capitol ships like they were toys, remember?
