New boyfriend, Hurray--tell him absolutely no meanness, now, you got sisters with swords!! And we are a protective lot, if not particularly moral.
Yes, I'm still amusing myself with reading stories to myself for the long hours in the car between Austin and home. And lord knows, traffic or Caribbean, I know where I wanna be. I'm running Spanish hours--go to bed around 6-9 a.m. and then up again at the crack of 4:30 or 5 p.m. I am being particularly indulgent in that regard, computer just goes so much faster late at night and it never cares what time I decide to log on, get down whatever. Spent the better part of a week learning Torchwood, episodes, intrigues, and watching all the episodes. I think John Barrowman is the cutest cutie pie on the planet--would adopt him if he didn't already have perfectly serviceable parents--he just has this cute little grin that makes me want to pinch his cheeks--in a nice matronly way, mind--I swear it's this ridiculous white undershirt he wears underneath his world war II RAF outfit--it's all cover up when you know he's just wicked.
And he's happy and smiling and Gwen is tuff as nails--she coldcocks him punches him so hard, my jaw hurt!! Rule in TX is you don't generally punch someone who is holding a gun on you--evidently in Wales, they do things differently. And I'm in love with the name Ianto (yan-toe). He's not our Captain Jack, but he is definitely a Captain Jack--I swear to you, if I suddenly by miracle had a son, his name would be Captain Jack!! (living in the south, I can't tell you how many King Solomens and King Davids I've met). I must admit I'm now aware that I am a bit more square than I initally thought. Torchwood is cool--I love sci fi.
Have a ball with the fine one--I have to think he's rather bright if he had enough sense to choose my piratista sister. Please remember mooning about kills conversation. Talk about everything and then spoon...practise what I preach, eh?

I'm feeling right at home with you guys! I love all of your nicknames for me!! I'll answer to practically anything except WillabethRose. lol
Hmmm....some more reasons how I know I'm obsessed:
My first official post (besides the welcome thread) is on this thread.
One of the first things I do on facebook is look for a Sparrabeth group.
If I'm thinking about writing something, it's normally about Sparrabeth. Same with my computer graphics. And if I hear a shippery song, I immediately start thinking of the vid I could make.
If I meet someone new and we end up talking about movies, it always leads to Pirates....and then to Sparrabeth.
When I first found out that one of my friends was a Sparrabether, I started shrieking right in the middle of a relatively quiet class. lol People sorta stared....

Haha, Rose, you'll fit in perfectly - we're all in love with POTC and dearest Johnny a bit too much for our own good, but what the heck? We're happy

Hmmm....well, about 2 years ago, I still hadn't seen DMC and my friend told me about The Kiss of the Century. Needless to say, I had to see it. I went on Youtube and just about died when I saw it! My mom kept on telling me to be quiet, I was making so much noise. lol It just sorta clicked, you know? I mean, I had sorta tolerated Willabeth in COTBP, but I had never loved it. I had always loved the chain scene to death, but had never really thought it could be more. Until I saw the kiss. The rest is history. :-)

*nod* *nod* *nod* we understand - the kiss did it, add the curiosity scene and BAM! instant sexual tension and crazy steamy romance!
... as for the whelp- i'm assuming you know who he is, lol- i never really got around to actually loving whelpabeth, ya know what i mean? it just seemed so.. so... usual... so overused... something like the "nurse-patient syndrome"... something like that....
while Sparrabeth seems more... more.. steamy.. surreal.. AWEsome... hot... all that good stuff, lol!

I agree with you 100%! Whelpabeth has always seemed so flat to me. There are only a few part that seem remotely romantic, and even those parts leave you feeling like something just isn't right. And all of those times Elizabeth whispers "Will" under her breath drive me INSANE!!! lol I'm drawn to those love/hate romances, the ones that are incredibly hot and forbidden. Like Sparrabeth, with their hidden glances and passionate moments...such as in the after-kiss scene, when she goes to kiss him again, his mouth opens the tiniest bit. I had to watch it in slow motion to catch it, but when I did....WOAH!!

Ah, I love the love/hate relationships - i'm totally obsessed with forbidden and UST-ridden ships. Do you ship anything besides Sparrabeth, Rose?

I love Aragorn/Eowyn from Lord of the Rings and Phantom/Christine. I haven't seen all of the X-Men movies yet, but from what I have seen, I love Logan/Jean. They are sooooooooooo hot.....heehee. I'm not allowed to see LOST, but Youtube is a wonderful thing and I support Sawyer and Kate. :-) Basically, all of my ships don't happen. I seemed to be cursed with that. lol

*pulls into sisterly hug*
Join the support group Rose, we TOTALLY understand haha! I ship only one on-screen couple that was ever canon (Buffy/Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer - T.Maria on here got me hooked on that, their UST and hotness rivals Sparrabeth except its CANON *gasp* and simply amazing) - I also ship Dramione (draco/hermione) and Bella/Edward (twilight)

Love live non-canon couples!! I like several canon couples, but their hottness doesn't really compare to the non-canon ones. I love Zorro/Elena from The Mask of Zorro (they're sorta like Sparrabeth in the way they flirt) and they're canon! It's pretty rare that you see a relationship like that in canon couples. Another non-canon ship I like is Harry/Mary Jane in Spiderman 3. That whole cooking/dance/kiss scene was just adorable!

lol, Sparrabeth is the only forbidden ship I have.. I like Ben/Abigail from National Treasure, Booth/Bones in Bones, Shawn/Juliet in Psych, Dramione- brit introduced the whole concept!, Spuffy- brit's fault too!...
and that's it.
I don't really know why i said all that, i just followed suit.
I totally wish they'd make a sparrabeth revised ending to AWE... but that would never happen, huh.. *sigh*

You know you are undeniably obsessed when you go to Hobby Lobby and you spend 15 minutes (no joke) talking yourself out of this flipping little iron on patch becos it's POTC and yes there are so few things that are and yes it has a decent image of Jack and yes, there was a ship one (the Pearl) and yes, you could put it on the inside of a vest or something becos you wouldn't actually wear it out where anyone could see it or you could put it on your sleep shirt--But for heaven's sakes, you don't NEED it and YOU could buy cat food and pay for the stray you took in to get fixed etc. Oh, for phooey's sake!! Anyway, I had already bought a POTC beach towel and discovered if you put the pillow I had already and the towel over my body (big pillow) pillow then you could fabricate a reasonable body shaped Jack lump.
Sick Obsessed--are they the same thing??
